Check in was a bit busy but this was down to a rugby game being played the following day and hotel was busy because of that. I thought our room on first floor was beautiful. Staff were really friendly and despite the hotel being busy there were no queues for breakfast or for drinks that I saw. Hotel was in a really central location and perfect for exploring Bath Would be more than happy to stay again
Okay we are very picky since we travel a lot and we like to stay in 5 stars hotels. I booked this hotel online since I love to stay at the Hilton anywhere in the world if it’s in a good area and has a good review. This hotel by all means is one of the most beautiful hotels we have stayed at in a small cities. The staff are amazing. The room was very clean and smelled so good. The breakfast was good. I literally went down 5 min before they closed the breakfast and they let me in and helped me get everything I want. When we arrived at the hotel our taxi driver took us from the back. It looks horrible from the back. The building looked old and the outdoor painting need a new one. We were scared to stay here but then we are stuck so we have to stay here right? We walked into the hotel and it was a different sorry. The hotel was nice from inside and so clean. The check in process was so smooth and easy. My room that I requested was under renovation so I got a different room. It was nice and clean. The front desk helped me with booking for the bath spa, and at short notice they helped me find a gluten free dairy free cake for my daughter’s 21st early celebration. Like they went above and beyond to help me in anyway I want help. Would I stay at this hotel again YES I will and would. And u r literally 10 min walk to the Roman bath, 5 min walk to Abbey church, 10-15 min to the bath spa. So you don’t need car or bus. Everything is around you. So go ahead and book your stay.…
Any issues with this hotel were quickly overlooked due to the friendly and helpful nature of the staff. My family and I booked three rooms for two nights back in September and we had an absolute blast thanks to the staff-- ESPECIALLY Warwick Davis who went above and beyond to make our visit special. He was by far the most helpful hotel employee I have ever come across in my travels. The location was great, the rooms were standard DoubleTree rooms, the breakfast was your average Hilton breakfast, but oh my-- you don't meet people as lovely as the DoubleTree Bath staff very often. From check-in to check-out, well done!
Awful hotel, unclean and I comfy. Breakfast was a buffet style which is poor considering there is a pandemic. Staff were fine but hotel was not. Would never stay here again! Had to keep moving the car every 4 hours during business meeting as they closed the car park and failed to inform us. Spent £34 on parking instead of £15 and they did nothing when complained about it other than say they don’t know why we weren’t notified. No complimentary toiletries or water in the room so couldn’t have a cup of tea or drink until I went for breakfast! Charged £2.50 for the bar staff to hand me my drink bed and pillows were I comfy - bed was hard, pillows were too soft.
Extremely well located in Bath with easy access from Motorway and easy walking distance to most sights in the city. Very convenient parking below and with a Waitrose next door for any requirements. Staff are very attentive and friendly both on reception as well as in Restaurant and Bar area.
