We visited Abbey Hotel Bath early January 2022. Parking 200yards away at Manvers street car park. Friendly check in and all staff welcoming. Special mention to Kara on reception, she is an absolute asset to the hotel and goes above and beyond in her role. She is often mentioned on trip advisor and rightly so. Breakfast is to order and was excellent each morning. Bar on evening very quiet but lovely setting. Hotel tips If you are a light sleeper there is a night kebab van near the front of the hotel ( obviously not the hotels fault ) but something to keep in mind. Rooms are beautiful, fridge will go off if you take your room card out of slot. Fantastic position near all attractions and town. We visited the Roman baths and highly recommend you book and take the self audio tour. Allow around two hours. Book with confidence this is a lovely hotel.

could not be happier with this hotel. On arrival Shana the receptionist was friendly/funny and made us feel welcome. Interested to know where we had come from and why we had come. Bar staff were lovely genuinely seemed like they were having fun too. We would definitely come back to stay here again.

I am slightly surprised at the good reviews as the room we were given is definitely overpriced and one of the worst places we have stayed in given the location of the room within the hotel. I have selected the hotel as we decide to bring our dog on a short staycation for his birthday. Upon arrival, we were led to a room at the lower ground floor. The only way to the room is via the restaurant and through a fire door exit which appears to be beside the kitchen. I find it very uncomfortable that we have to enter our room this way. To be fair, the room is nice and clean with good bathroom amenities and a comfortable bed. It is small which is fine but note that the window cannot be opened and is half frosted. There should be more transparency about the types of rooms available. I don’t do well with such rooms and would not have stayed in this hotel. The room is also very stuffy which is not adequate for any stay longer than a night. I have stayed in hostels and airbnbs all over the world. At this price point and given the type of room, this is very unacceptable. I do not recommend this hotel if you have a dog, are claustrophobic or overall just want a fancy hotel.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time out to leave us your feedback on your recent time with us. I am really sorry to hear that you felt uncomfortable in the location of your room. Being a city centre property our beautiful, Georgian qualities also come with a different style floor plan to newer built hotels and hostels so we appreciate this isn't to everyone's taste. We try to make sure our guests with pets enjoy quality sleep and the room you were allocated in was a quiet part of our hotel which we hope means you and your pet are not disturbed at night by busier pats of our hotel. I appreciate your comments and will be bringing them to the attention of our front office team to look at for future and returning guests service when staying with us. I am really happy to hear you liked the room itself and you found the amenities and bed comfortable. Again, I want to thank you for leaving your feedback and we hope you enjoyed the cities attractions while here in Bath. Kind regards, Management Team. Abbey Hotel, Bath.

Room was really nice , staff were really helpful, gave us an upgraded room even though the mistake was my fault and let us keep our luggage in the hotel after we had checked out for the day. They even returned something we had left in the room. Would definitely recommend and will be returning.
