Highways house is a very pleasant place to say whilst in Bath. Our room was very nice and clean. Bathroom was also clean. The shower could use some more power but I'm be picky. The breakfast was fantastic. A great selection and all freshly prepared.

There was obviously still lots of refurbishment going on which we weren't warned about. We also had a room in the 'annex' which is a modern build add on to the back of the house rather than in the house itself which was disappointing. That said it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The extractor fan in the bathroom...

We were treated like family at Highways House. We arrived in Bath on 23-DEC. Without reservations for Christmas, Bella offered us the use of her kitchen so we could dine in. Bella and Victoria made us feel at home for our whole stay. Breakfast was nice and Vicki was able to help us identify sites to see and places to...

We spent two nights at Highways House on a Bath Xmas shopping trip. It was a it hectic on arrival as builders were on site outside. A change in management was happening during our stay. The staff were very welcoming but our room was a disappointment so we changed to another room which was fine. Apparently all the rooms are...

We picked Highways House as a last minute choice for a spontaneous weekend away in Bath. I have to say that it was not my first choice as I have stayed in other hotels in Bath previously. HOWEVER - Highways House will now be on the very top of my list of places to stay next time I come to...

We were given a warm welcome by Victoria who was very polite and helpful. The breakfast was great and plenty of it. The hotel s situated within a 10 minute walk to the city centre which has many good attractions. Can.t fault the bedroom in any way, bed was really comfortable. Good position about 10 minutes walk from centre of Bath. Its on the Wellsway which is a busy road but set back so not noisy. Easy walk downhill to station, bus station, centre of town. Also bus stops just outside the hotel so easy access. Car parking too which is worth its weight in gold in Bath! Comfortable rooms and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Highways House, built in 1874, is a 5 room (all en suite) guest house. We are ten minutes walk into the city centre (Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, etc) and the return journey is a little uphill towards the end. We are on a main bus & cab route, and well away from the city centre's noisy pubs and clubs that are so busy at weekends. We pride ourselves on our cleanliness and friendliness. ... more   less
