Can't speak more highly of the hotel and its staff. Myself and my girlfriend made a mistake with our booking, booking a twin instead of a double room. However the hotel very kindly upgraded us to a superior double, free of charge. Location, facilities and breakfast were also excellent.

We stayed one night only, the idea was to book a good hotel to have a nice sleep at night, take a good shower, have a good breakfast, relaxing, all near the city centre. The only thing that we got was the City Centre proximity. The pillows are not comfortable, the mattress too soft, and the hotel is located on...

The Ayrlington Hotel is honestly up there with best of them. The staff are happy, attentive, ready to do anything for their guests that will make their stay more enjoyable. The room was absolutely beautiful, top floor with a lovely view of Bath. Every modern convenience combined with charm and sumptuous furnishing, plenty of room and an excellent position, an...

Really enjoyed our short stay in this grand Victorian guest house. Great location with parking, only a short walk into the centre of Bath. Excellent staff from Reception, to the breakfast staff to housekeeping. Lovely rooms decorated in keeping with the character of the house. Comfortable bad. Very good breakfast. Would stay here again.

Arrived after a long drive from London and were captivated by the presentation of the hotel. Well worth the money - should have booked another night. We had a standard room overlooking the garden. The room was huge and the bathroom clean and fresh. Attention to detail was clearly a priority for hotel management. Breakfast was great with lots to...

Stayed here with a Groupon voucher, we stayed in the Grand Suite. The room was beyond our expectations and they had made an extra effort with rose petals and chocolates on the bed on our arrival. The decoration and fittings was to a high standard as was the furniture. Would recommend this room and the staff who were more than...

This was the second time in ten months we stayed at the Ayrlington. For this special trip we were not disappointed. We stayed in Ivory, which overlooked the gardens. We look forward to next time. Thank you The Ayrlington.

We stayed at this hotel to celebrate my birthday, if we had not spent the day travelling to this establishment there is no way I would have excepted our room. The base of the bed was dirty, mattress had stains on it as did the carpet, crumbs were found in the drawer and the wardrobe was minute. Some of the...

We enjoyed a 3night stay at this large Georgian home east of the River Avon. The traditional English breakfasts were delicious or you could have other selections. We had a deluxe double on the 1st floor (the ceilings were very high) overlooking the gardens. David was helpful in providing suggestions as well as calling our next B&B to confirm our...

Built of golden Bath stone, The Ayrlington is a large and handsome English Heritage listed building set in a splendid walled oriental garden with exceptional views of the City and its medieval Abbey. Bath's magnificent historic sites, speciality shops and excellent restaurants are all just a five minutes level stroll away. The Ayrlington's elegant and tranquil interior is a graceful blend of English and Asian antiques, artwork, fine fabrics and Egyptian cotton bedlinen - all 18 bedrooms have an individual theme and are beautifully furnished, some with four poster beds. The emphasis is on creating an atmosphere of peace and tranquility in the centre of Bath's vibrant city centre. The Ayrlington has a licensed residents' bar, secure on-site private parking and is entirely non smoking. We do not accept children under 5 years of age.
