4th stay - checked in and felt totally embarrassed by the 2 receptionists, one of whom turned out to be the duty manager when I asked to see the DM on check out. Poor customer service continues with housekeeping lady on her phone outside my bedroom door. Wall in room dirty - showed DM the photo and asked did you take this photo when you checked in or this morning? Didn’t go for breakfast as too anxious about the staff. 2nd person in room stayed somewhere else after being made to feel out of place.
GREAT staff, location and convenient parking by the front door. Writing this review to recognise the staff who were professional, helpful, managed busy breakfast time well and took time to draw my 5 year old daughter a map of all the playparks! Rooms clean, breakfast everything you need and easy to get to key landmarks but also nice quiet location. Great value vs other central options in Bath. Only negatives would be rooms are small for families with both beds set up and the lift was broken when we stayed.
Standard Holiday inn express, nothing outstanding other than the breakfast service staff, who managed the busy time well. On arrival told no rooms available, but sudden change, then no lift , had massive amount of luggage and just had to struggle, still no lift 24 hours later!! Car park outside which helped.
The elevator is not working, stayed here last and it was not working then either. Had I know I would have cancelled this reservation. The room has stained carpet and cracked bathroom tiles. Spending £130 per night I expect far more. I will vote with my feet and not stay here again. IHG have lost a good customer here. I think I have previously stayed here 10 nights in the last few weeks.
Spent one evening at the Holiday Inn Express Bath, and had a really nice stay. The location was perfect, as the hotel was situated within reasonable walking distance of many local attractions, restaurants and shops. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the hotel a small bar and restaurant on site. In addition, the staff were all extremely nice. If you’re headed to Bath, definitely consider staying at the Holiday Inn Express!
