What a fantastic stay. We were made very welcome in this warm, elegant period property. This is a clean and very well run bed and breakfast, lots of interesting history. The breakfast is just amazing and Julian and his wife couldn't have been any more helpful or friendly. It is set within walking distance of the city, we parked when...

Sir Walter Elliot's House is a beautiful period property in a desirable location. Visitors will get a 'family welcome' from the owner and it feels as if you are more like a house guest than a tourist. The rooms are well appointed and traditional. Wifi could be better in the top of the property, but we were'n't there for that.

This property is a grade 1 listed building in a lovely street and location, only 5-10 minutes walk into the centre of Bath along the 'great pulteney street' ( the hop on bus takes a run down here).. the proprietor, Julian was very welcoming, he recommended we do the afternoon free guided walk, which I have say was excellent (Monday...

My family and I recently stayed at Sir Walter Elliot's House. We were seven adults and five children and they were able to accommodate us all. The house is exquisite and the hosts very welcoming. I have no hesitation in recommending the house. We had everything we wanted in the accommodation, it was spotlessly clean, the decor delightful and whilst...

Do you know Jane Austen? After a short introduction into the house probably yes. BBC made a movie in this house and this room is still there to vistit. The bedrooms are in the second floor (all 5m high!) without a lift, so only people with good feet enjoy the rooms. We had the Sir Walter Elliot room, which is...

Dr.Julian Self is by far the most positive force that I have encountered in the UK. He could run for Prime Minister…but, he is far too busy making Sir Walter Elliot's House into the most beautiful and comfortable place to stay. Julian makes you feel like you are meant to be in that beautiful environ even though I was in...

We just couldn't have been better looked after. The owners, Julian and Mechtild, were away and the house had been left in the charge of Aleksandra and Hannah. We'd had a problem en-route, when our car had broken down and we'd had to be rescued by the AA and piggy-backed to Bath. This resulted in us having to stay an...

My son and I stayed for one night at the beginning of September in order to have a look round Bath prior to him starting University there. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were made to feel very welcome by the delightful host Julian! To impress an 18yr old is pretty good going and Julian...

You can expect a warm welcome from the host Julian and he is keen to ensure you have all that you need for your stay. The architecture is amazing, as is the history of the building. It's in a great location and parking is free. The rooms need some improvement, old towels etc and breakfast is quite basic. Ask for...

Julian great, could not do enough. A group of us stayed, shared rooms, 3 in one room(one on camp bed) price not reflected. A dinner was put on for us, whilst it was fine, I could have cooked better at home and the dinner should have probably been half of the price we were charged. Front door lock so awkward...
