We decided to begin our English vacation in the beautiful surroundings of Bath. Not having been there before, we had to rely on the good reports on TripAdvisor. What an exceptionally lucky find! A recently refurbished Georgian gem in a quiet neighborhood, the rooms are spacious even by American standards. Attention to detail in every aspect from linens, bath products...

My husband and I have just returned from 3 enjoyable nights at Leighton Townhouse. Ideally located about a 15min stroll out of town (down a hill) it's ideally situated to give you a view over the city. Staff all very friendly and nothing was too much. Pros... Lovely house, very clean and well decorated. Pleasant staff, good breakfast, lots of fruit , seeds etc for those wanting something light. Good selection of DVDs to watch. Relaxed atmosphere. Cons....didn't sleep well as I personally found the mattress far too firm, which was a shame. Rooms at front very noisy from road. Uphill walk back from town center...

we booked 3 rooms all of different characters and great details. Breakfast was excellent. I took my chance to have my english style breakfast served with sparkling wine. An enjoyable stay especially if you plan driving around Bath and you can park your vehicle directly there. Otherwise, walking to the centre of Bath is around 15-20 minutes. James and his...

Lovely hotel, friendly staff and good amenities. Little extras in the room and an extensive breakfast menu enhanced other pluses like comfortable beds, cleanliness and quality of food. well placed although a bit of a trek up the hill from Bath which is a delight itself. Taxi only cost £7 so a walk down and taxi back was our favoured...

My review is colored by the fact I am partially disabled. If you are able-bodied you will have a different perspective. Leighton is beautiful, furnished in superb taste, populated by a friendly staff more than eager to help with anything they can. The beds are comfortable and roomy. The breakfast is plentiful and tasty. These are the reasons I give...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Spoil yourselves at Leighton Townhouse. We are just a 10 minute walk from the city centre, in a peaceful 140-year old Victorian villa, set in lovely gardens, with great views away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre and offering complimentary on-site car parking. Formerly known as One Three Nine, we have recently refurbished and refreshed all our bedrooms and guest areas to provide 10 individually designed and beautifully decorated guest rooms, all of which have air conditioning, as well as beautiful bathrooms with underfloor heating, power showers and many with spa baths. Leighton Townhouse has been fully restyled to reflect the age and character of the property. Using a harmonious palate of soft neutrals and flashes of brighter accent colours, our Townhouse has a warm, relaxing ambiance with each room completely unique in character. By blending our signature style of classical French chic with contemporary modern elements, we are able to offer our guests an extremely comfortable stay and a truly bespoke experience' Take in the sights of our remarkable city, have a lingering lunch, soak in the bubbling hot waters at the Thermae Bath Spa, book an evening show at the beautiful Bath Theatre Royal. Dine out, hit the shops or just lounge like a local - our townhouse has everything you will need for a perfect stay. The views are amazing and the possibilities are endless. Leighton Townhouse offers all the 'mod cons' you would expect from a luxury B&B Townhouse as well as beautiful, comfortable décor. Our guiding principle is to offer exceptional personal service and accommodation to make our guests feel they are 'home from home' but with a bit of 'wow' factor to make their stay in Bath one to remember. We believe that there are a few prerequisites that a luxury B&B townhouse must have - relaxing décor, very comfortable beds, immaculate bathrooms, fresh, crisp, quality linens, fluffy towels, robes & slippers, welcoming and comfortable guest areas, fresh flowers, good lighting as well as a hearty breakfast with plenty of choice and Bucks Fizz to kick start your day. Whether you just want a few romantic days away 'a deux', a break on the way to the South West, or a 'girlie' get away, Leighton Townhouse will tick all the right boxes. ... more   less
