We booked a hardstanding touring caravan pitch at this park in The Grove field. The park is a hidden gem - the site managers and staff are very welcoming and helpful. We used the bar and were also made to feel welcome by regular visitors. Unfortunately the pool was undergoing refurbishment but that is not unusual during low season. The toilet block in our field was a little dated but everything worked perfectly fine and it was very clean. Lots of things to do in the area so we will definitely be returning during the warmer months. We had booked to travel to Bath Christmas Market and, sadly, this was cancelled but would recommend a visit to Wells Cathedral...stunning.

What a lovely campsite this is , set in the Mendips with good views , lovely little one bedroom caravan ,very clean . Helpful lady on reception sorted our boiler issue straight away , nothing really in safe walking distance (pathways ,tight roads) but a pub half a mile down the road , and a tesco express bit further on , ideal for walkers to the north of the site for the views , everything mapped out , a little further out than we would have liked to Weston an Burnham but that was our fault

Lovely little site, stayed on a serviced touring pitch with a view of the park, kids loved being so close to the park and we enjoyed watching them have lots of fun. Can get a little noisy after dark so would suggest if you want a quieter pitch to ask to be away from the park. Disappointed the pool was closed and seems to have been for quiet some time, we were notified by email a few days before. Bar was nice and welcoming as were the staff, didn’t try the food, but did take park in the pumpkin carving for Halloween which the staff actively promoted which was nice. Really loved our stay, would recommend to others, but please fix the pool, would of been 5 stars then!

We have had a lovely stay over the October half term holiday. Having stayed here before as campers we were familiar with the park and it's facilities and also the wonderful staff that are worth their weight in gold. It was disappointing that we were not able to check in until 5 but the hot tub was the perfect temperature and this was very clearly stated prior to arrival, so I'm not sure why people are complaining about this. We had a minor issue with communication prior to arrival so Gary very kindly allowed us a free round of drinks. Cheers Gary! Accommodation was very comfortable and, as always we felt we had a great base from which to explore the local area. Whilst on site we ate at the restaurant, mixed reviews on this as our veggie friend would have appreciated a wider offering. I very much enjoyed my food though! We loved the fact the staff put on a Halloween pumpkin carving event, at no extra charge, whilst we were having our meal. This kept the kids wonderfully occupied, all tools were provided and one member of staff even brought us some tealights from her own home. That is very much a plus for this park. The staff work blooming hard and nothing is too much trouble, even locating a car that had been lost behind a non movable sofa. What a star! The most disappointing aspect was that the pool was shut. I really wish that we had known about this sooner if in fact it has been closed since July. This is not mentioned on the website and it is only because I had a chat with Gary a couple of days before our arrival that we actually knew in advance. Luckily we had a hot tub so we're able to enjoy that and this was not overlooked by anyone. Our son says it was the best caravan he's ever been in and loved the pocket money priced toys in the shop too! We will be back.

We arrived expecting the images of the park on the website, we were put into The Grove, it’s very cramped, untidy, just messy in general. Reception gave the excuse that the Summer flowers had been removed, no idea how that would have made a difference. The site was noisy, toilets were not clean, pizza left a lot to be desired and couldn’t be eaten! We left after one night, felt cheated out of our £350 for the weeks touring pitch only to be told that Wookey Hole run the park, have tried to contact them but zero response, if you are looking for a tidy quiet site this one is not for you! Needless to say we will not be back!
