It's been a total pleasure from top to bottom, to stay at The Gorge View self catering, right in the middle of the Cheddar gorge and shops. Despite it's central location the quiet at night and at day of the surrounding allowed to truly enjoy the pleasant atmosphere and the sounds of the river streaming down of the light, airy spacious Mendip apartment, I have found the good hospitality of the owners Bruna , her husband and their son Martin, has provided the complete satisfaction of my stay. I happened to go back and forth within a period of a month and their flexibility of allowing me to leave a few of my things and their kindness and laid back manner have made me feel rightat home. I am truly grateful for finding this place. I hope you will enjoy your stay as well !

We stayed in the River apartment which was a great size for a family of four. The apartment was clean, bright and had everything you need for a great stay. Importantly for us - with a 9 and an 11 year old - the bedrooms are a good size so they had plenty of room to play. The beds were very comfortable and they loved the lamps which you touch to turn on! The owners are very friendly and helpful with lots of helpful advice on where to visit. We especially liked all the personal touches - we stayed over the Easter period and were greeted with a basket of Easter eggs. The location couldn't be better for the Gorge with lots of great places to eat only a few minutes away. Would definitely stay here again.

We booked Woodlands and River for the full Christmas/New Year break, What a delight, Home from Home. Both apartment's were spotless and well prepared, Christmas decorations were included and the fridge was stocked with some immediate essentials, Chocolate's and Prosecco were a nice touch. The owners are a pleasure to deal with at all times, The Pub opposite (The White Hart) is a real find too with good beers and food

We stayed in the Woodland and River apartments. They were both absolutely spotless and have been well looked after. They were decorated for Christmas which was a really nice touch and milk, tea, coffee, washing up liquid, sponges, hand soap, shower gel and welcoming prosecco and chocolates to celebrate the new year were provided. The owners welcomed us and showed us around, made suggestions on where to visit in the local area and were on hand if we had any problems. The location is great - right in the middle of the gorge village. Hope to visit again.

We had a lovely stay in the Woodlands apartment, this was perfect for us as we have a young baby. The apartment was very clean, bright and modern and all our needs were catered for including a cot. We were met by Bruna on arrival and she had kindly stocked the fridge with cheese and milk, she also posted a charger that we had left behind with no charge. The flats were ideally located and there is lots to do around the Gorge, there are also some good restaurants and local takeaways. The flats are opposite a pub which on the first night was quite loud until very late but on the other nights there wasn't any noise. We would definitely stay here again.
