The only reason I have not given the B&B 4 or even 5 stars is that I booked a single room and was given a double room instead at a price considerably higher than those quoted on the website and also the telephone although the owner said £49 was the price of a single room(hmmm). I was too polite to say anything but I would warn people to pay attention in Cheddar as this is not the only B&B who has a reputation for double booking rooms. It may have been a genuine mistake but if you reserve a room you reserve it to your budget...not the B&B owners. However, other than that glitch it was a lovely place to stay and walking distance from nice pubs etc. The owners were very helpful and did not impose a curfew for coming back at night. The breakfast was huge and delicious and suitable for vegetarians on request. The B&B itself is not really a character country cottage but has a large garden of surburban proportions and a bulldog that lives in the garden (fortunately in a kennel away from guests...but do ask before you go in the garden)

This was a very comfortable and clean B&B which offered more than average. A range of amenities were supplied for travellers who may have forgotten something ie: deoderant sprays, hair gels etc. I have never seen this in a B&B before, what a lovely idea. Hosts were friendly. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone visiting Cheddar.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights in March and loved every minute of it! Lisa and her husband were extremely friendly and the breakfasts and room was great! Room was very clean and had everything we could have asked for. In a really good location as well, right next to the reservoir and not far from Cheddar Caves. Overall had a great time and will definitely be going back in the near future!!

Stayed here for 2 weeks on a BGS course. Hosts David and Gordon (ex hoteliers) run an exemplary house in every respect. My room was spacious, clean, quiet and overlooked a huge beautiful garden. Every facility you would expect is available including a very useful free woreless internet access. At the weekend went to Cheddar Gorge - about 15 minutes walk from the B&B. Highly recommend it!!
