Simply a great hotel for many things, whether it is visiting and exploring Exmoor, staying in Dunster or Minehead (a mere 2 miles away) or as we did stop en route to the far South West. We were kindly allocated the family suite which was well appointed, comfortably spacious and cosy; with a double room and adjoining room with two...

The bedroom was quite roomy with two nice beds and bedlinen. It had a nice writing-desk for writing postcards. The bathroom had a huge tub, but also the choice of a shower. The breakfast was alright and was a buffet where you could help yourself apart from the bacon, fried eggs and mushrooms also grapefruit segments. Nice atmosphere.

What a wonderful Hotel, the staff went out of their way to provide first class service. The food was absolutely exquisite, the first morning I had a Full English Breakfast, marvellous with locally sourced products and a far superior offering to the usual insipid ingredients that some hotels are content to serve up! The following morning I had Poached Egg...

We have stayed here for a number of years to enjoy a jazz break. This year was as good as ever and we've booked for next year[which must mean something]. Everyone - management and staff work very hard to look after us - even putting up a temporary bar! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, even if the stairs might...

Lovely Setting, really nice little town. The hotel was "ok", but for £140 for a double room (all be it a four poster bed) I thought it was expensive for what we got? for example, there's no bar in the hotel there is however a good pub straight over the road. The hotels just a bit "tired", the décor in...

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and we were impressed with this hotel. It is situated right in the middle of the town with the old yarn market building in front. Our room was clean, well decorated and comfortable with a generous supply of tea, coffee, and milk for making our own drinks. The food was impressively good...

Our room was large at the front of the hotel so overlooked the road which was great and had plenty to look at. Pretty village too. Staff friendly and helpful and breakfast was cooked to order so piping hot. Their evening menu we thought was rather fancy as we are quite plain eaters so we ate in the pub across...

We stayed overnight here on our way down to Cornwall. I do not think this hotel represents good value for money. At this price, I would expect a higher standard of offer. For example: the room facilities and bathroom were not as good as other hotels I have stayed in at this price; the shower in our bathroom was not...

Thank you for your comments about your stay here - we do try to respond to guests' comments and suggestions. I am sorry you felt your one-night stay was overpriced, but our tariff does reduce per night for stays of two nights or more. We have an on-going programme of refurbishment, and the stairs and corridors are on the list...

We stayed here for one night in March to go and explore the coast. We stayed on a Friday night and were impressed with how polite everyone was working there. 11/10 for breakfast amazing buffet type English breakfast and cold breakfasts also! Big enough room for one night and simple fixtures, will be returning! Dunster is beautiful!
