I really do go back every year. I stay in the Wrinkle Mead self-catering cottage (just across the yard from the B&B). Mrs. Glass is so welcoming and helpful. The cottage is lovely and well-equipped, and looks out over the llama yard! This is the best-located self-catering cottage I've ever been in. It's quiet and rural, but just a few...

This historic house was quite comfortable, and a great location for visiting Wells. It is inside a closed wall with a gate, and right next to the Bishop's Palace. It was a little hard to find, but worth the hunt. Our hostess was quite accommodating, called the car rental agency in Bristol for us, and provided a very nice breakfast....

My wife and I stayed here for two nights as attending a family wedding. Booked here as wanted somewhere near to the wedding reception being held at the Bishop's Palace. What a choice. Not only was it next to the Palace but the room, the facilities in the room and the wonderful views and quietness were an added bonus. Mrs...

My husband and I stayed here for three nights. The B & B is located close to the Bishop's Palace and is only a short walk from the centre of town. However, it is very quiet. The bedrooms are furnished in keeping with the age of the building and are very clean and comfortable. Mrs Glass is a very welcoming...

We rented the self-catering cottage at Islington Farm in Wells for a week in July. The house is comfortable and well-equipped, with plenty of hot water in the shower. The high point was the location, right on the edge of the city of Wells, but on a farm with views of green fields, alpacas, and a very inquisitive chicken. A...

We booked to stay at Islington House for a 4 night break over Easter, mainly because of the good reviews it has received and we weren't disappointed. From the moment I booked to the time we left it couldn't have been better. The owner was away and we were wonderfully looked after by her Daughter who was really friendly and...

This bed and breakfast offered me a wonderful warm and friendly welcome from the owner's daughter on my arrival, a very comfortable cosy room with ensuite shower room and TV and a truly scrummy breakfast with fresh laid eggs the next morning. My only niggle was the single bed's duvet which was a little on the narrow side, although I...

This property found right in the heart of the marvellous town of Wells is a hidden charm. The rooms are clean spacious and the en-suite have all been recently renovated. The grounds are charming as is the landlady Mrs Glass. It is situated right beside the Bishop's Palace and a short walk to the town, resaurants and Wells Cathedral. The...

This is the perfect B&B, offering excellent value: ideal location, helpful hostess, delicious breakfast. That sums it up, really, but as i am required to submit a minimum of 200 characters for tripadvisor i've added this sentence.

“Lovely quaint room, all the amenities, terrific big bathroom, charming ambience, lovely full breakfast, wifi hard to get due to ancient thick walls but you can get it. Just loved the place. Feels very special with entrance off street through gated drive over lovely stream.”
