When we arrived at the Swan the reception greeted us with warmth and friendliness. We were a group of 20 and were shown to our rooms spread throughout the complex. The Swan is situated facing the Wells Cathedral with outdoor dining and ambience galore. The Dinner at the Swan was of 5 star quality. Excellent food, presentation was outstanding and the...

The help and organisation from the hotel was superb and from the moment we arrived we were looked after in a very friendly...

My husband and I stayed in 7 hotels over the course of a two week trip throughout the UK, and this was the best hotel we stayed in. It was comfortable and beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful without being too overbearing. It was very quiet. The surrounding town was like a storybook. The only awkward part was there...

A quaint hotel with very friendly staff and some rooms overlooking the magnificent Wells cathedral. Stayed in the Cathedrall suite, to be recommended, both the bedroom and lounge have views of the Cathedral and cathederal green. Just to sit and watch the changing lights on the cathedral and see the people going backwards and forwards was a treat. Entry to...

Stayed one night here and wished it could have been longer. Subtle and stylish upgrading made for very pleasant ambience in both public rooms and our bedroom. Personally I would remove the pink neon from the restaurant as it feels completely out of kilter with rest of the decor. Bed comfortable with nice firm pillow, bathroom not luxurious but very...

The Swan is a historic inn, just across from the Cathedral green. With a cathedral view room, you can watch the sun and light change on the face of the church over the course of your stay. Just breath-taking. The room was nice, but warm on the third floor. With windows open, street and bar noise floats in. And so...

We stayed here for three nights and can recommend the accommodation and breakfast. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Parking is tight, but there are plenty of pay and display car parks within a few minutes walk. Thanks for a great stay.

Stayed for 1 night in a standard room as my friend had her 30th birthday party in the fuction room. The room was beautiful. Ample space, clean, amazing decor, complimenty water/tea and coffee. Bed was lovely and comfortable! Bathroom was lovely too. However there was thudding music until 1am that was clearly under our room. ( luckily the party hadn't...
