This place is special and to me it wasn't really like staying in a B&B more like staying in the owners friendly home. The owner is a delightful lady, very hard working indeed. Oh and at 1500hrs each day a freshly baked cake is available, very delicious.

We had a wonderful peaceful quiet stay in great surroundings. Loved the 'Honesty Bar' set out in one of the 3 sitting rooms. Complimentary tea & cake in the afternoons. Excellent choice for breakfast, freshly cooked & table settings lovely. Bedroom & ensuite to our liking with fluffy 'Beryl' towels & instant hot water. Manicured gardens to wander in and...

We only stopped here for one night on our way through from South Wales to Cornwall, and we are so glad we did. As we approached the hotel along the dark tree lined drive we reached this rather gothic looking place, in beautiful surroundings. Very large, immaculate gardens with a swimming pool at the bottom. The house it self is...

This guest house is lovely very quirky, old and interesting. The staff were amazing the young girl who greeted us and showed us round was lovely. The gardens are also beautiful and well maintained. It's like going back in time. We stayed in the Rose room, clean and well maintained the only down side was the bathroom doors did not...

This was my third stay at the Beryl, but the first in over ten years and it was great to see how little has changed. The hotel / B&B is tucked away at the top of Hawker's Lane and as such is in a very quiet location, with the only external "noise" coming from the local sheep and birds. I...

We stayed for a night of comfort before going to Glastonbury Festival. We were greeted warmly and efficiently - the "help yourself" tea and cake in the lounge on arrival was superb and a much needed refreshment after the drive down. Our room was stunning and we shifted around our evening plans so that we could enjoy being at Beryl....

We booked this hotel as a stay before visiting Glastonbury. We arrived in time for complimentary tea and cake in one of the shared downstairs rooms. We were lucky to be upgraded to the Winston Room, which had a beautiful victorian bath. Beryl offers an honesty bar for an evening drink too and their is a kitchenette with tea and...

We booked Beryl's for 3 nights whilst attending a wedding near Wells, we were blown away by the whole experience. There is a very warm welcome, they cannot do enough for you. Every afternoon there is afternoon tea with a homemade cake in a very comfortable room overlooking the extensive garden and swimming pool. One morning it was raining heavily...

Stayed at the Beryl over the Whitsun weekend. It is a fantastic place to stay and Holly and her staff look after you well from the Afternoon Teas to the cooked Breakfasts.
