We went for a meal for two woucher deal. The food was excellent and exactly what we expected for a carvery. Our waitress Lauren was lovely, very attentive, very polite and very helpful. She actually apologised when she had to tell us our voucher had expired as did Adam, the shift manager. Adam told us that if we could find the email with the expiry date he would stand us a drink each if there had been a mistake. When we checked our emails, we found the voucher had expired, so our mistake but well handled Lauren and Adam. It turned out an expensive meal for a carvery but the overall experience was very good. Thank you Lauren and Adam. We will come back

It’s a travelodge so you know generally you are going to get something very basic. And this didn’t disappoint! Plenty of free parking outside the hotel but also very dark at night so try and park as close to the hotel entrance as possible. Given a room on the upper floor. Hotel interior is very dated, think dado rail and flowery wallpaper. Rooms are a decent size but carpet was very tired, stained and needed replacing. Coffee stains up the wall by the bed sides. Bed was comfortable. Room was generally clean otherwise especially bathroom. Plenty of hot water for the shower. Didn’t pay much for the room (under £40) and would suggest it’s not worth more than this. Probably wouldn’t stay over again as better hotels in the area.

I stayed here over the weekend to visit family in the area. Having lived in Stoke for many years it was so nice to revisit. We went to the Wedgwood visitors centre which I would highly recommend. The hotel itself although basic was a pleasure to stay in with friendly enthusiastic reception staff.

Stayed here for a business trip. Just want to thank all the staff for making me as a single female feel very comfortable and safe. Nothing was to much trouble always a smiling face . The hotel although a bit dated with old carpets was spotless and I will definitely return. Thank You

The hotel was close, but not too close to the M6 so there was very little, if any noise. There was adequate on-site free parking. The area in front of the hotel was very clean as was the reception area. The receptionist, Brad was very welcoming, helpful and efficient. The room was spotless and there is a Harvester pub adjacent, so food and drink is readily available. I slept very well and highly recommend this Travelodge. I will be very happy to stay again.

On arrival I parked in front of the Travelodge under their CCTV cameras. The following morning I woke to find my car windscreen broken and a dent in the roof. I told the receptionist who showed no interest whatsoever and instead told me to go see the Toby manager next door as they had CCTV. I was a bit confused knowing Travelodge had cameras but went next door as instructed. I can't fault the Toby manager, so helpful. He showed empathy and was genuinely interested in trying to discover what had happened. Whilst he was looking at my car, the Travelodge receptionist and another staff member walked by and totally blanked me! He spent over 30 mins going through the camera video of the Toby CCTV and spotted the person who may have been responsible however his cameras were too far away. After emails to Travelodge Customer Service I now know the CCTV doesn't work on the Travelodge building and their only help was to tell me to contact the police and my insurance! With no CCTV I'm at a loss as to what the Police could do?! Travelodge cameras on display definitely give a false sense of security. Completely understand 'you park at your own risk' however vehicle damage plus bad attitude from staff, I won't be staying again. Hotel room fine but wouldn't advise to park here.

This Hotel is badly in need of refurb. The carpets seem to be at least 4 different colours. Having said that the Hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff right from the Management down to the cleaners are some of the most friendly and helpfull i have come accross. If some invertment took place in this Hotel itwould be exceptional

Hotel room number 217 was 'tired'-carpets stained and worn, dressing table and wardrobe scuffed. Almost constant noise throughout the night which sounded like washing machines/dryer. Room 200 overlooked rear entrance to neighbouring restaurant/pub with stream of smokers stood outside chatting causing disturbed peace. Plenty of car parking spaces.

It looks like this hotel has had no investment in infra-structure for many many years. The electric heater in the room gave out lots of heat but none of that stayed in the room which coupled with the fact that the duvet had an inadequate TOG rating meant getting to sleep whilst cold. The good points are the bed was comfortable, the sheets and towels were clean and there was plenty of hot water for a decent shower. It was that bad I would not stay again at this hotel whatever the price saving over similar hotels in the area.
