I was shocked to find you now have to pay extra to park your car. Air conditioning not working in the room The kettle does not turn its self off when boiled. I burnt my finger switching it off . Woke up at 7.55 to a dog barking in the corridor. Not the best experience to be honest.
This is a business hotel or short hop destination. It differs little from any other similar box style hotel with one exception, the staff. The staff are what you would expect from a 4* hotel and genuinely care. They want to look after your every need and come across like they care. That makes a difference.
The price for the hotel was low budget so I wasn’t expecting very much but what a surprise the staff were very friendly and helpful and so accommodating the room was small but very clean and the bed very comfortable for the price I paid and the experience I had I would definitely come back
Well it was hardly a holiday, this was yet another one of those weekends away, were you follow your football team. Even if ended as a bore 0-0, benefits of this hotel, it was close to the football ground A quick 10-15 minute trip in a taxi, to stokes Town centre, were we participated in the numerous bars, and food establishments. The hotel pretty good value for money, booked by my friend, friendly greeting. The room was clean, the bed itself comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good. I even will ignore the issue ,of the lady whom was trying to enter our room, obviously without success, early hours of the morning, till I opened the door, obviously more intoxicated then myself. Led her to her own door, goodnight. Yeah, nothing to complain about here, a decent stop over...
Arrived on Friday evening feeling rotten, Steve made me a warm salt water, later in the evening we saw Steve again he asked how I was feeling, gave me some sliced lemon, honey and salt to bring to our room. Again today Steve asked how i was feeling, Every Hotel should have a Steve. Room comfortable and pleasant, bed made and towels changed. Warm room, comfy bed, plenty of storage space.
My car got terribly dented, they could not give CCTV because it was of very poor quality.. They charge extra for parking too. The General Manager did not get back to me when he promised to and I had to raise it with IHG for him to finally respond 2 weeks later. Terrible stay, terrible brand and extremely unprofessional staff behaviour.
Very friendly staff and clean rooms. The room was a little compact but we did have an extra bed in it for our son so it was to be expected. Parking is £5 per night but we struggled to find a space at night. This is because everyone is in the hotel and settled. Breakfast is buffet style and plenty of choice. Its a budget hotel and for the money its spot on.
When paying nearly £300 for two nights stay, we expected better. Took a lot time to ever get any service from Reception. Breakfast was very poor, hot food very limited and the quality of the rest of the items were very poor. I would avoid staying again even on check out there was no one to speak to with my concerns and finalise the bill
Very friendly and professional service. Spotlessly clean, wonderful clean and fresh room, and best of all......a superb, friendly staff! Coupled with a superb location and a wonderful free breakfast........and you've got a winning combination!
I use this place quite a lot when on business in the area. Its a typical HIE and is clean and well services. The breakfast is very busy but fine - there are a lot of families stay here on way to Alton Towers. The nearby harvester is pretty poor (Rough and very average food) so its just as well that the in-house food here is good. Despite a limited kitchen they turn out good meals and the atmosphere in the restaurant area is good at night.
