What a lovely hotel …the lady on reception was great with my little boy and gave him cookies from a jar whilst he was upset. The same in the restaurant all the staff were lovely and great service. The hotel reception area and restaurant interior was incredible definitely one of the nicest Hilton’s I’ve stayed at. Our room topped it off for me I asked for a refurbed room and it was stunning and so classy I’m an interior designer so normally I find faults but I couldn’t find one. The bathroom was so modern with beautiful tiles the bed was huge with comfortable pillows. It honestly looks so much better than the pictures. Even all the items in the room like the hairdryer normally you get a rubbish one attached to the wall with a button you have to hold down but here there was a normal hairdryer in the drawer that I could use easily. Booked this hotel for a reasonable price with breakfast and will definitely be coming back again hopefully when the pool area is open.

We enjoyed a lovely 3 night stay during the Christmas/ New Year holidays. Check in - very easy and staff friendly and helpful. Our boys loved the chocolate cookies. Room - We stayed in a twin double room (myself, partner & 2 boys ages 9 & 6). The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The black out blinds/curtains were amazing! Breakfast - Was delicious! There was a wide variety of high quality foods on offer from continental to full English. The chef even made eggs to order - poached/ omelette etc. Although the restaurant was always busy, the staff were always friendly and helpful. Pool - Our boys absolutely loved the pool. We needed to book time slots due to covid but we didn’t have any problems getting a slot to suit us. The water was lovely and warm and again staff were always friendly and polite. Location - perfect location! Across the road from waterworld which is a must if you have children. We had a great time there. Also bowling, cinema, play areas, mini golf all within walking distance from the hotel. Also a huge shopping retail park is within walking distance with fast food and other restaurants near by too. We had a really great time in Stoke and at this hotel. Would definitely recommend and we can’t wait to come back!

Under its previous branding this property gradually declined from being the grandest hotel in the city to a worn out husk with a feeling of being stuck in 1985. I stayed with my family last night for the first time in a couple of years and was surprised and delighted to find that the rebranding has been accompanied by a thorough refurbishment with new room decor, carpets, new restaurant, bar and reception, even a much needed new menu. The staff are as friendly as ever but the feeling overall is of a more professionally run hotel altogether. It’s now a great experience and excellent value. Well run pool and gym, easy free parking on site, modern, warm bedroom with all the stuff you need, excellent full cooked breakfast. Nice to see that the sleepy old Moat House has finally stepped up in response to the new hotels appearing in the city.

Myself and some of my family attended the Christmas Day lunch at this wonderful hotel. I cannot emphasize enough what superb food and service we received from the Hotel Chef and staff. The ambiance in the Restaurant and bar area was nothing short of brilliant. The table magician Ian was also first class and Father Christmas was dressed to the part. My whole group cannot thank all concerned for a wonderful lunch. We did stay overnight in rooms that were spotless, and extremely well furnished there are no complaints at all . Again sincere thanks for a wonderful breakfast again served by excellent staff. WELL DONE TO ALL CONCERNED FOR A UNFORGETTABLE STAY, WITH EXCEPTIONAL FOOD AND SERVICE.
