Spent a few nights here on a trip to Bury St. Edmunds. Hotel was clean and well staffed. Room was as I expected clean and comfortable. Car park was large and easy to drive into town. It's a cheap place to stop at and for it's money my stay was good. I didn't have any issues with booking, staying or staff during my stay. Would use again when I return to the town. Many thanks.

Dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed in. The room was dark and dingy and the shower was disgusting. The corridors had dusty carpets and the dining tables were sticky. Breakfast had poor selections. Items quickly running out. The hotel seemed to be run by only 2 women whoever trying their best but clearly overwhelmed. Poor WiFi. On the plus side the hotel is in a good position for visiting the town.

Return visit to Dragonfly hotel. Lovely room recently refurbished. Fabulous staff from reception desk to bar to restaurant. All extremely helpful and nothing too much trouble, Thankyou especially to receptionist who helped (us older folk who panic at the sight of self service checking machines!) We mastered it to check out speedily. Rooms clean and comfortable. Short walk into Bury St Edmunds of around 15 mins.Ate in restaurant 1 night, food good pub grub, piping hot and didn't break the bank. Thanks for a lovely weekend.

When I arrived the window was open so the room was freezing and there was a musty smell, I closed it an put the heating on and went for food at the restaurant. Restaurant wasn't clean as tables looked like they had been wiped with a dirty cloth and food mess around the tables, the food was cold and tasteless. Got back to my room to find the heating didn't come on but found a very small oil heater in the room. I assumed the heating was out and the oil heater would heat up the room - WRONG. It was so small the output wasn't noticeable after being on all night. Bed sheets were also dirty but as it was late I just needed sleep. Shower was dirty but the towels were clean. Breakfast was same as dinner tasteless. Complained to reception but they were not interested, emailed on my return and still not replied to my emails after two months. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!

Staying hear for 5 days whilst on a course for work. On 1st impressions it looks like it would be ok. But it's really not. When I checked in I was asked to provide a credit card even though my company had already prepaid and given an allowance. When I said to quite frankly a rude member of staff on reception that I wasn't happy. I was told if I didn't I couldn't check in as this was incase of an damages. The machine then gave me my room card. Room 312 On arrival at room tho it appeared clean, there was a funny musty smell, the sink was cracked and the shower cubicle was very tired. On the subject of shower you had to run the hot water for at least 10 mins prior to having a shower before any form of hot water came through. I went to the restaurant on the 1st evening and had what was supposed to be hand battered fish with chunky chips. What I got was a piece of soggy what could only be described as microwaved fish with fries. The 2nd night was a little better but microwaved beef cannelloni. Breakfast was cold and not appetising at all. Would I recommend this hotel absolutely NOT!!!

Dark, dingy room, with a single (old) radiator. Carpets stained. Telly hard to get on. Ironing board and iron, two extra pillows if required. Bathroom looks new-ish. Plenty of towels. Not enough tea/coffee/milk. Only stayed here because Premier Inn was full. Rip off at £96 a night (Satirday evening).

To start with, hen we arrived, the receptionist at the desk informed us that there is auto check-in, which we did. Then She didn't mention anything about the car park. We assumed that car park belongs to the hotel. How wrong we could be? When still in reception lobby I noticed another screen just by the receptionist desk to check in your car. I asked my husband to do this, he entered the registration number and room number. We both were sure if you do it once, register room number, they must know that if we stay in the hotel 2 nights, assumingly the car stays with us for 2 day! Right?! We have checked in, room was all right, floor bit dirty, nothing special, it was bit cold for mid November stay. Few days after the 2-day stay we received a ticket from Civil Enforcement with car park fine of £100! We've made an appeal and they claim 'they don't have enough evidence'! So the booking confimration wasn't enough? Registering car for 1 day - on the day of the arrival, isn't enough?! Staff in the hotel were unavailable and unfriendly and inattentive when coming into hotel, no eye contact to say hello, sitting in their phones. Felt even rude. The hotel lobby where we wanted to sit in the evening had dirty and sticky floor, same the tables, no heating (even we sat there in winter jackets). It wouldn't be that bad if it weren't for this car park fine. Strongly advice against staying in this hotel!

Having traveled from Sweden I expected the standard of the hotel to be a reflection of the price for a room per night. I was quite disappointed. Even though the staff did their best to please there was no room service (a plastic bag left outside the room with extra towel etc in), in the restaurant, which was in need of refurbishment, there were a number of items on the menu that were unavailable. My Mums room onlooked a heap of rubbish. No sorry. We will not be back.
