We have just returned from a two night break at Ravenwood Hall Hotel, and we loved every minute! The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. Its a beautiful old house dating back to 1530. We had a lovely room complete with four poster bed, even a little Christmas tree - nice touch!! All very clean with nice en suite. Wonderful cosy...

We enjoy coming here after a visit to Blackthorpe Barn, it gets us into the Christmas Spirit! The tree and fireplace are decorated beautifully. The comfortable lounge area, warmth and smell of the log fire make for a very cosy afternoon with friends. The scones come warm with lashings of clotted cream and jam. Staff are attentive but also leave...

Stayed at the hotel overnight. The hotel was very cosy and friendly, although very busy on arrival the hotel became quieter in the evening - excellent dinner from set festive menu and really well cooked English breakfast the next morning. The staff in the restaurant were spot on - great service and politeness - friendly but not overfamiliar - well...

Staff were pleasant enough , breakfast was nice . Bed wasn't very comfortable, door slammed every 2 minutes under our room and made floor shake told staff and hour after being there. No offer to move room or get resolved! We were told we could get into hotel after hours with our key! To find out at 2.30am it didn't...

Beautiful surroundings. Hotel warm and cosy. Food excellent especially the steak and Sea Bass. Would return again, perhaps not to stay in the Mews 6 (which was a winding staircase to our room - cheaper), but to stay in the main hotel. Loved to see the animals chickens, goats, ponies and geese

Stayed in the Saxon Room for two nights over the weekend of the Bury St Edmunds Xmas Fare. The room was lovely. 4 poster bed lovely bathroom. Had evening meal on the first night which was very good indeed. The hotel had a lovely relaxed feel to it. Service and staff were excellent. Taxi in to Bury was only £7....

We booked one night dinner, bed and breakfast, through Secret Escapes. We had two rooms and paid an extra £25 each room to be upgraded to stay in the main house. I have to say, when we first arrived, it was cold and getting dark, and the hotel didn't look very welcoming. We were shown to our rooms, which were...

Had a surprise birthday treat booked here by my husband. When we arrived it was a cold wet November day but inside the hall was lovely, warm & welcoming with comfortable furnishings which could be summed up by the new buzz word 'hygge' for 'cosiness'. Our room was warm & inviting with a teddy bear waiting in a chair which...

Just back from a fabulous weekend at Ravenwood hall. The food was amazing and very plentiful. The wine list is extensive and the wines we tried were excellent. The hall is old and full of character with slopping floors and very few 90 degree angles. The staff were first class and remembered your names. They made our stay very enjoyable....
