Had a pleasant stay with the lovely staff at the priory. They were all friendly, helpful and attentive. Breakfast was good, and the staff were patient even though we arrived a little late. Rooms were clean and comfortable. I'd stay again. Thank you

Situated just on the outskirts of the town The Priory is actually in quite a good position to get into Bury town centre. Very friendly staff and a reasonable restaurant, but as with most hotels, the menu looks better than the finished product on your plate. The main problem with this hotel was the room. Basically comfortable, but when the...

Although a little dated , the impeccable staff service and hospitality, together with cleanliness and good food more than made up for this. We also understand that there will be some refurbishment this year just in time for our visit again in December when we visit with some other friends .lovely garden and peaceful even though on quite a busy...

Stayed for 3 nights recently. Hotel staff welcoming and friendly, smooth check in service. We were allocated a garden apartment outside of the main hotel. The room was nicely furnished and with a comfortable bed, good size flat screen TV, complimentary wifi and good provision of coffee, tea, milk and biscuits. The housekeeping service was good and noticeable that room...

We organised my daughters christening party at the hotel, the initial inquiry and support in choosing this venue was very good, with a clear and helpful indication of what we could expect from the staff and the food. On the day the staff on hand were amazing, they made the whole day relaxing and enjoyable, and was willing to go...

Arrived and checked in only to be given a dirty room that hadn't been cleaned. Hairs in the sink, rubbish in the bin, used shower gel in the tub and a dirty coffee cup! The next room wasn't much better. They couldn't cook food as the cooker was broken and the staff are rude. Don't waste your time and money...

The staff were wonderful and went out of their way to make the stay an enjoyable experience, this including evening, night and morning staff. Had an evening meal which was prepared by Matt and the steak was one of the finest that I have eaten. A big thank you to all of the team at the hotel. Tony L

Booked a couple of days before arrival, and was not dissapointed. Set in its own grounds, it was very quiet, so good nights sleep was easily obtained. The welcome was warm and friendly, room more than adequate and very clean. The food was absolutely delicious, Thanks Matt. Will be booking again next time in Bury St Edmunds.
