I love this little hotel! I stayed here on business but the staff are so friendly and the rooms so cosy, it feel like a real treat! It was a chilly night but the garden room I stayed in was lovely and warm. I was greeted with a chocolate chip cookie, chocolate and a free drink

Read the recent article in the paper about the newly built restaurant and bar. Thought I’d pop in with the wife for dinner as we were in the area. We had lovely evening, friendly staff and chef was happy to adjust my meal to make it gluten free. Top marks!

The Best Western is a wonderful hotel in Bury St Edmunds. The rooms are fantastic and all very comfortable, the new restaurant provides delicious food with a variety of options on the menu, but most of all the staff are exceptional and make your stay with them one to remember.

Stayed here last summer and never want to return. My room was located outside like an old style motel. Although the room was spacious it was absolutely filthy. The carpet was so dirty I decided to keep my shoes on when walking around. The bathroom was mouldy. The surfaces were

Dear Jflex, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us here at the Priory Hotel. I am sorry that you felt you could not speak with me back in the summer during your stay as I would have gladly spoken with you at the time of your stay regarding the concerns you have raised just now with us. The Priory Hotel underwent some major changes through 2018 to create our new Garden Room restaurant, Terrace Bar and the build of new guest rooms, which opened in November of last year. During this time we have also been through all out guest rooms and resolved all the feedback concerns that we received during this time. If you would like to speak with me further about your concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me directly here at the hotel on 01284 766 181 or generalmanager@prioryhotel.co.uk . Kindest regards, Kim David General Manager

Hi I stayed with a group of 25 so we had rooms all around the hotel. My room in main building was room 3, a very large comfortable room with a large bathroom. It was fine for me but the rear window overlooked the conservatory dining room so at Christmas could be noisy. It do I'd not bother me though. All garden rooms are about 30-40 metres from main building, are reasonably sized and again quite comfortable so you'd have a good choice. They numbered from about rooms No.20, I think. If I recall there were also a further 6 or so rooms (numbered around 32- 38 I think, that were in a small courtyard so you might prefer one of these if you don't mind being away from main building in winter. Certainly avoid room 1 if you are light sleepers as it overlooks the main road, although again a comfortable room. I hope this helps.
