Found this hotel when travelling on from visiting relatives in Suffolk and was pleasantly surprise at the attractive decor when entering. It has been recently updated and and had a smart, attractive style to the bedroom and dining room. The bedroom was roomy with a balcony that looked over the golf course, the only fault being a worrying lack of... More

The superior rooms, bar & restaurant have lovely views over the golf course, the pool is super, we had it to ourselves on Thursday afternoon and it is close to visit Bury St Edmunds Christmas market. Unfortunately little things spoilt our stay; the young bar man addressed us as 'you guys', there was no milk left in our room on... More

A nice hotel , near Bury St. Edmunds, which was a convenient and nice drive to Thetford nearby. The hotel had good rooms an excellent restaurant and a pool / gym linked that residents can use if like. Only bit on this visit was the power cut on departure and subsequent billing process.

Reception area felt very cold dark and unwelcoming, guessing the rubber floor is due to it being a golf club and golf shoes have studs ? Lovely clean modern cosy room with towels, plenty of tea and coffee bits, and toiletries. Comfortable beds with nice sheets and TV with freeview. Toilet brush was dirty - very dirty - as in... More

We received a friendly and informative welcome. Our room was spacious and comfortable the only downside being that it was a touch too warm for sleeping but a minor problem. The bathroom was lovely with an excellent shower. My only complaint would be to replace the curtain with a screen as the curtain sticks to you while showering! Upon checking... More

Stayed here for one night in November on business. Arrived when it was dark and was a little concerned about the state of the car park, then when walking into reception the hotel felt short of character and had a very bizarre flooring. However these were the only slight negatives on the stay. Rooms are spacious and are decorated to... More

Played at this golf club a year ago run down and tired but very challenging. Decided to return as we had heard good things were happening. Aaammmaazzing it's like a new place. The improvement is unbelievable and there is still stuff going on. Lots happening and they welcomed us like lost friends. Great atmosphere. Can't wait for next year.

Great service from friendly staff who couldn't do too much for us. Lovely room warm and cosy with a great view over the golf course. Much improved from our last stay with refurbishment programme still continuing. Evening meal and its sweet course choice was excellent and breakfast cooked to a even higher standard. Would think this was a very good... More

My husband and I got married here November last year under the old management and it was an absolute shambles, the venue and amount of things wrong, the breakfast was appalling and all in all it ruined our day, after writing a letter of complaint and contemplating a REALLY bad reviews I held off, we quickly got a reply explaining... Great room – really comfortable bed with newly refurbished bathroom and a view over the golf course! Food was excellent – both for dinner and breakfast. A wide selection of dishes were on offer, which all looked excellent. It was a shame we were only there for one evening! In particular, the presentation of deserts was lovely, with taste to... More
