Arrived to check in around 20.00 and it was busy in the bar and restaurant. Despite this what I presume was the owner took time to take us up to our room on the top floor. decent sized twin room with good sized en suite shower room, well furnished and spotlessly clean. decent choice of hot drinks, bottled water, toiletries.... We have stayed here 3 times now as a family. The twin room is very spacious and the large double room is also spacious. The smaller double room is a little on the cramped side. It is situated above a restaurant so not ideal for those who require absolute quiet of an evening. The staff have always been friendly. The... More

Popular rooms, couldn't fault the cleanliness and service. Staff really pleasant. Great breakfast in the morning with plenty of choice. Only downside was that we had an attic room which was so so hot. We were provided with a fan to help but even this couldn't cool us down through the night.

Stayed here for the one evening as we were attending a wedding close by. Really nice of the staff to let us dumps our bags early as we wouldn't be returning until later. Rooms are pretty basic but nice all the same with everything you'll need for the night. All I will say is it was so noisy from about... More

We stayed for one night to visit the horse racing. We were welcomed by the owners who were friendly and helpful and concerned for our enjoyment of the accomodation. Even though we were very early we were shown where our accommodation would be and were given the key. When we returned in the evening we were able to check in... More

My wife and I spent the weekend at the crown rooms in the small double room. Let's start with the bad. The small double is very small, and for 2 people who are taller than average it was cramped. It was very warm (temperatures outside were in the mid 20's and sunny) and we needed fans on constantly. The bathroom... More

Have just returned from a lovely weekend in Newmarket after a stay at the Crown Rooms. The location is perfect as you are right in the heart of Newmarket high street but enough away from the few clubs to avoid noise at night. We stayed in the small double and small was definitely the right word. As myself and my... More

A superb hotel from the friendliness of the staff when we arrived till we left. The breakfast was a good old hearty full English cereal available also. The room although right at the top was clean and spacious. Would recommend this hotel if staying in Newmarket. A quick tip though if you arrive in the evening you do have to... More

Friendly and helpful staff. The location is great right in the High Street. Very clean and comfortable and good price. Six of us had three king size bed rooms at £55.00 per room for a night so only £27.50 each. Can't comment on the breakfast as we didn't have it there but there's a Wetherspoons a few yards away plus... More
