What a warm and friendly reception we had from Ken and Di, proprietors of this excellent, characterful pub; we had a lovely evening, a good night's sleep and a very good breakfast and left feeling very happy we had chosen it - we will most certainly be back!

My partner and I stayed here overnight whilst attending a friend's wedding in nearby Chiddingfold. We were greeted with a warm welcome and were promptly shown our room. The room itself was clean and spacious; the bed was very comfortable! Breakfast was yummy and freshly cooked to order, with plenty of choice. The owners were so friendly and accommodating, if...

We had 2 rooms, one for my elderly mother, which was a double, and one for us. The décor was old but the rooms and the bedding were spotlessly clean. The Owners and staff were more than accommodating when we ordered our breakfasts. Everyone was very friendly. We had no noise from the Bar area.

This evening I visited the Wheatsheaf for an evening meal with friends. We were made to feel very welcome and shown an amazing specials menu. The meal was outstanding for presentation and flavour. If it's still offered I recommend the haddock and salmon roulade in a mussel sauce with vegetables. The sweet menu is also impressive.
