Stayed at Travelodge Newcastle Quayside for three nights. Main purpose of visit was to see James Blunt at the nearby Utilita Arena. For that purpose it’s in a great location, and only a 10-15 min walk away. Anyone with mobility issues should note that as this hotel is on the quayside, if they wish to visit the town centre on foot it is either by walking quite steep hills or several flights of stairs. Rooms were of good Travelodge standard and staff were friendly. As we’d booked a long time in advance we got our stay at a very good rate (approx £40 a night). However I was disappointed that I hadn’t been informed at any time since booking that there was renovation works going on at the hotel during our stay. It didn’t disturb our visit at-all, but meant there was no bar or breakfast available at the hotel. The Wetherspoons next door was great though! Quick service, friendly staff and a great breakfast

Arrived early for a work night away , no problem checked us in and looked after our bags till the rooms were ready . Room was really clean , comfy clean bed , good shower and no noise ( bonus ) staff in the bar were extremely friendly and accommodating even providing food at 10:30pm nothing was too much trouble . We got a great deal on this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again .

Visited for one night to attend a concert. Easy walk from the train station. Pre booked a few months before our stay and paid £29.99. I was pleasantly surprised at how great this place was. Very clean and well maintained. It was handy for the Utilita arena. We got an Uber ( a fiver) there and walked back. Pleasant staff. Would definitely return.

The hotel on a whole is very clean and well maintained. We booked a super room and was lovley and clean great standard but the odor of dog in the room wasn't very pleasant at all.. travel lodge should have pet only rooks or no pets allowed. No one wants to stay in a room that smells like dog especially when they don't have any pets. Because of this it gets 4 stars instead of 5

Charge full price for drinks then put their staff discount on and pockets the other half. Then tried to say my partner was racist when I pulled them about it. Took the receipt off him and gave him a new one without the discount on it. Had him arrested, then the next day waited until 4pm to tell us we had to leave, with a 5 month old baby! Left us with nowhere to go in an area we didnt know. Absolutely vile the way they treated us. Then makes it incredibly difficult to get a partial refund. Not to mention we went to another travel lodge who told us upon leaving that we were very pleasant and they even agreed the other hotel was in the wrong!

I have just returned from a one night stay at the hotel. The staff were fantastic particularly the blonde haired lady this morning who wears a mask . Rooms were spotlessly clean and the breakfast choices were outstanding! Thank you, can thoroughly recommend it
