Had an overnight stay here last week….. please dont waste ur money!!! Upon checking in we were met with a rude girl who stated we got her in the middle of doing something so we must apologise for that but theres no need to be so rude to guests! There didn’t appear to be a lift so dont book here if you need one, we didn’t dare interrupt the receptionist again to ask! The room was old, tired, unclean, uncomfortable to name a few. The shower was disgusting with hairs from previous guests, the fan in the bathroom was so clogged with dust it looked like a fire hazard. There was only one pillow on the bed, going by how unclean the rest of the room was we hardly slept as felt as if our skin was crawling!!! There was what looked like snot on the ceiling, Marks all over the walls and radiators, didnt even want to use their towels as this place just felt disgusting. There looked to be one side of the hotel renovated however we felt we were put in such a filthy room as we had an itison voucher which we didnt feel was fair, we could have paid a similar price at another location without a voucher had we known how awful our stay was going to be. Ruined our night in nice night away to newcastle!

Stayed here whilst we were going to see Genesis at the utilita arena, The hotel is very clean and the room we had very nice, reminded me very similar to Novotel styling, loads of hot water nice and quiet, about 1.5 miles from the arena, so a easy walk, we stayed midweek so was quiet I can’t comment if it would be the same at weekends, we paid less than £90 for two nights, which included breakfast, breakfast is a bag of goodies collected from reception each morning, but not to everyone tastes but was ok for us, one minor niggle in our room you couldn’t open the window even ajar and the air con was to noisy to have on all night so was a little stuffy, but I’d definitely stay again. And a good plus free parking 👍

- blood on towels - general uncleanliness - rude staff - toilet roll holder fell off the wall - it said bed and breakfast but only ended up getting a grab bag. - Could see staff walking past the window so lack of privacy The only good thing about this hotel was the distance to city centre

Hi I stayed here from 13th September to 17th September. But we are so disappointed with the behaviour of night manager of this hotel. His behaviour was so bad with us. We feel very much uncomfortable for this reason. I never be here again for sure..

We weren't quite sure what to expect after reading mixed reviews but I'm pleased to say I feel this was the right hotel choice for us. I wish there was a 'Good' rating because average feels too low but Very Good feels too high. We arrived to ample free parking and a helpful friendly member of staff greeting us. My partner and I both have hidden disabilities so not having a lift and being given an upstairs room wasn't ideal. I don't like to make a fuss so we tolerated it. The room was actually really nice, the decor tasteful, very spacious and appeared to be pretty clean. The bed sheets unfortunately had stains on them but I'm pretty sure they're stubborn stains rather than the bed sheets not having been washed. I certainly hope that's the case anyway! I wouldn't describe this hotel as cheap but I think we got good value for money considering the room size, location and parking being included. The wifi comes and goes which is annoying but when working you can stream videos which is handy. If the wifi goes you have to reconnect and we had to do this several times a day, though it seems to work better on phones. I was disappointed not to have a bath but after lugging the cases up the stairs I didn't feel like asking for a room change. I'm guessing if I had we would probably have got one. The rooms are rather warm in summer with no air conditioning. There is a lack of plug sockets especially near the bed which is a shame as I would've benefitted from plugging my fan and phone in near the bed. The bed was comfortable and we slept as well as we could've. The location is great, you can walk to the city centre in 15 minutes and the gay bars in less than 10. Overall it was a pleasant stay and we'd stay again.
