Stayed here after a day/night out in Newcastle. It's cheap enough (70 for a twin room) but I wouldn't have been happy paying anymore. The kitchens must have been near our room and the burnt oil smell was really unpleasant. We were woken at 8am by water dripping through the ceiling panels from the room above. Staff were pleasant enough... More

We had twin room on 2nd floor, really nothing to complain about, it suited us for 2nights, the tv did not have a remote but the girl in reception just took one from the empty room next door to our room ( guess that's maybe where ours went too), having said that this girl was from Lancs very nice and... This hotel is a good budget option. It is centrally located in West Jesmond, near all the amenities and the Metro station. The rooms are clean. There's a bar that is popular with students and serves food.

Stayed here for the night with two of my friends. We stayed in room 105 - disgusting! The corridor stinks and the ceiling looks water damaged and about to collapse! The floor boards are wobbly and some even feel missing under foot. There were dirty wine glasses in the corridor which were there from when we arrived and still there... More

If you overlook the decrepit stairways and corridors, this hotel is fine for a place to 'crash' for a night on the tiles. We've paid twice as much for other hotels on Osborne Road which were nicely decorated but had student parties going on till 1am downstairs. For around £40 you get a comfortable bed, clean room and clean but... More

Like to start by saying the hotel needs updating but apart from that the room was clean and tidy and can't fault cleanliness. The housekeeping staff on the other had a found rather rude and disgusting I over heard a couple of them calling another member of staff (dawn I think) and what they said was uncalled for as I... Stayed here while leaving daughter to university . Hotel room was grim , no heating but offered blankets! Receptionist helpful and apologetic. No lighting except ceiling light. Toilet cistern intermittently buzzed throughout the night and one sheet only over mattress. Wifi didn't work. I wouldn't recommend this hotel at any price.

Where do we begin... as we arrived at the hotel reception, we were greeted by a young woman who was very nice (forgot to get her name) she ran through everything clearly and we went to our room 210. On the way to our room we had to climb 2 flights of rickety creaking stairs along with the floor boards.... More

We booked a night away to visit the University with my daughter. It was a cheap deal at £63 for the night. When we arrived the place was very busy with drinkers. The staff were lovely but the building is so tired and needs a lot spending on it to bring it up to a better standard. The staircase creaks,... More

A friend and I visited for 2 nights over the great North run. We paid £105 per night for the room however I would've expected to pay no more than £40. The room was very basic, with a small TV that lost signal every ten minutes. The floors creaked and you could hear every conversation as people walked past and... More
