Had a great weekend in the Caledonian. Room was very clean large and recently modernised, (room110). food was very good and had the evening meal both nights where the staff were really nice and friendly as a bonus its only a 20 minute walk to the city centre for shopping, museum and a few beers. its also on the main...

Friendly staff, great location, nice common areas, bar, restaurant. Then there's the rooms.... avoid standard rooms at all costs. Total contrast to the rest of the hotel and in need of refurb. Executive rooms may be better standard which we were encouraged to consider when checking in but didn't. I'd check what to expect from try different standards when booking.

I stayed here on the 10th of February for three nights. As we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a very friendly lady who checked us in and gave us our key cards to our rooms. This hotel is in a lovely area and is ideally near all local amenities. If you prefer a trip into town I...

Stayed for one night on 14/2/17 as at a training course over at Tyne View Park. The hotel is in a lovely area of Jesmond and is ideally situated for all local amenities. They have a restaurant and the Billabong Bar, between 6 and 8pm this has a push the button promotion. You can anything from a free drink to...

Friendly reception, but our spitits went down when we saw the room. The taps were so worn that at first I thought they were dirty. Room fairly clean, but heavy dust on some surfaces. When we got into bed we found that the mattress had lost any spring it may once have had, and we tended to roll down from...

Stayed here for one night only. Quiet spacious free parking to the rear. Perfect check in. Quick and easy. Elevator. In fact all of the front of house hotel staff are great, full of advice and knowledge of the local area too. Room, nice big comfy bed loads of cushions and things to wrestle with. Really clean, complementary, tea, coffee,...

The reception was spacious with efficient and friendly staff. The room (120) was comfortable but dated and in need of refreshing. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The major downside was that the room was at the front and the road and local bars were noisy. Didn't really go quiet until about midnight. The TV and digibox were...

I am very sorry that you felt let down by the room being noisy, we are in the process of refurbishing our bedroom and adding double glassing and room 120 will be in the next batch but I thank you for your comments.

Been stopping at this hotel for three nights as working locally. The room was spacious, clean and tidy. The carpets could do with updating as in some areas in the room a little threadbare. The bed was comfortable which made a pleasant to what you get at a lot of other hotels. The food in the evening was of an...

Location is fantastic for the pubs and restaurants in Jesmond. Our room was a little tired and faced the road so there was some noise from the pub opposite (but not too late into the night). I'm not sure the breakfast was worth the £9.50 price tag. Staff were friendly and helpful and would stay again.
