When you drive towards this hotel it looks like you're driving into 1970 but fear not refurbished inside and all is really rather good. The staff were excellent. Group of lads checking in same time as me and receptionist pulled me aside to avoid a wait. That never happens anywhere so well done. My bad for not getting her name but she clocked me again in the restaurant. A personal touch! Hallelujah. Great food choice in restaurant in evening and at breakfast. Well done to whoever has got this place spot on.

We loved this hotel. Nice staff. Great breakfast, a lovely pool and steam rooms etc. My kids were in an adjoining room and had a double bed each. We had a super king. Very nicely decorated and comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel- we had a lovely time!

Excellent warm welcome, freshly renovated and clean room and bathroom. A good if not short night's sleep (late arrival). Breakfast is a bit basic but 9/10 experience overall. Definitely coming back again

We needed a hotel to stay in when attending a family wedding. This was nearest to the venue and it was perfect for our needs. The reception staff were brilliant and friendly, the room was huge with TWO beds. We didn't have breakfast - so cannot comment on restaurant, but, it certainly looked very welcoming. Also plenty of free parking. Highly recommended

We were on a respite break for a week and chose this hotel as it was central to where we wanted to go. We arrived late to the hotel and were tired from travelling but the receptionist was absolutely lovely and got us booked in quickly. Breakfast was excellent! Really good variety of foods both hot and cold. Anything that wasn't out the staff were very quick to get for us. Jan and Sarah in the morning were so friendly and gave us tips on where we could go and what was good to do in the area. At night we were in the bar a few times where Bradley and Conor were a great laugh, didn't rush anyone and chatted away to us. Overall we had a great experience here and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting

I have stayed here three times through August 2023 for work and if I could award this hotel more stars I would. My first stay was on the ground floor and the room was lush. Bathrobes and Slippers and a mini bar. I asked if I could have a view for my next stay and the Manager emailed me personally to say she woudl arrange this. My second and third stay were on the upper floor and the view of the fields was breath taking. The room felt so private and I could open the nets and window to let in the fresh air. The Air Con at night was a huge bonus. The TV was large and had a volume cut off button which made the hotel exceptionally quiet. I slept amazing all three nights and the breakfast, especially the mushrooms were wonderful. The room/s were spacious, clean and very comfortable. On my third stay my Husband accompanied me and I mentioned it was our wedding anniversary and we received a card and a voucher for a free drink and nibbles. Karen and the staff here are friendly and approachable and it is so lovely to be checked in by a real smiling person as opposed to keying in a code or talking to someone through a doorbell camera when checking into a place with no soul. I cannot say thank you enough for making me feel comfortable and safe as a lady travelling alone and I look forward to my next stay on the 6th September 2023. If I could allocate stars I would give this place five stars for virtually everything…..too many to mention individually. My wife asked if there was any chance of a poached egg……”certainly” was the reply. A couple of minutes later, two perfectly poached eggs arrived. For me, I do like fresh grilled tomatoes. The chef offered there and then, to prepare some for me. Would I stay there again……I can’t wait for the occasion to come around quickly enough A big thank you to each member of the staff.

What a wonderful place to stay ,Rooms have plenty of space very clean and tidy . Staff are so friendly, helpful and can’t do enough to make your stay enjoyable. We were on a coach trip but everything was so organised. Food was great, Debbie’s mushrooms at breakfast were yummy, evening meal was wonderful as we had Josh as one of the waiters . He made our evening meal so enjoyable, nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff at meal times. So we would like to say a big THANK YOU to all at the Holiday Inn for making our stay very enjoyable.

Excellent hotel, very friendly staff, brilliant breakfast. Good base for discovering Northumberland, would highly recommend. Very good gym, if you are that way inclined, not one of these high rise monsterous hotels blends completely with enviroment.

Loved our stay! Kids really enjoyed the games room and pool and all areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean. Room was modern and clean and beds very comfy. All staff we came across were very friendly and we received a really nice welcome from Karen at reception on arrival. Will definitely be back!
