Had a great weekend in Newcastle staying at The Avenue. Steve was a lovely host. Very friendly and accommodating. He made a lovely breakfast and was always ready with a smile if ever we needed anything. I would definitely return

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on our recent trip to Newcastle. Steve was an amazing host, from the moment we arrived until the morning we left nothing was too much trouble. There is ample parking outside and Steve provided us with a permit which only costs a pound per day. They have an excellent taxi...

This is a good standard guest house with very clean rooms, excellent hosts(very understanding of our American ability to overpack 😊) and wonderful breakfast. It is just a very short walk to some awesome delectable restaurants for dinner (highly recommend the Italian restaurant which starts with an "A"). Great place for an overnight stay at the beginning or end of...

Incredibly friendly and kind staff who made us feel very welcome. We stayed for two nights over the weekend and had a pleasant stay - comfortable room, very peaceful location and close to the centre as well as Jesmond Dene park. Lovely vegetarian breakfast each morning, and nothing was too much trouble. We were very satisfied and would definitely stay...

Located a little bit far away from the city centre.. you will need a taxi to reach the town. Rooms are quite basic. No shampoos provided. They don't tidy your room up. Not the value of what you get to be fair. Good sleep quality btw

I was taking my son for a uni interview and wanted somewhere to stay that was clean, comfortable and good value and that was exactly what we got. The owner was very helpful and even drove us to the restaurant as we had arrived late and it was very stormy!! Breakfast was freshly made and tasty. Location was good as...

This place was exactly what we were looking for on our stay in Newcastle. It's within 10-15 minute walk of the city centre and not far from the nearest Metro station which is a direct line to the airport. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are a good size and very clean and comfortable. If you want a...

A lovely friendly run B&B. Steve welcomed us on arrival and was so helpful from the word go. He willingly offered advice on a local taxi firm and the closest places to eat and go for a stroll. Steve made our stay for a University graduation run with efficiency and reduced the stress of being in an unfamiliar environment. The...

Most importantly, I had a great nights sleep. As others have said it is a quiet place. The environment was appropriate for the money, slightly basic but clean. The place is more like a B&B, than a hotel to my mind. The host went out of his way to offer choices and ensure I was happy. There was room for...

It's a good thing my dad and I only stayed here for one night, since the room was really small. That small, that we had to stack our bags in order to have some room left. The hotel itself is pretty clean, and the breakfast is decent enough. It appears that the hotel is situated between a nice neighbourhood and...
