The afternoon tea over looking the Sage and Baltic museum was a very nice way to start our stay. Car parking in the multistorey easy to find and at a extremely reasonable cost. Our room over looked the bridge and at night was spectacular. Staff very pleasant and helpful. There were some renovations going on but it did not in...

2 nights at the Newcastle Malmaison. Located right beside the Gateshead Millennium bridge and within easy walking distance of the main rail station. Starbucks coffee shop on the hotel footprint. The hotel is standard Malmaison fare, being stylish and welcoming. Staff are spot on and very helpful. We were in Room 216 which is overlooked by a high rise office...

This is a lovely hotel in a brilliant location and the new bar is really nice. It loses a point for each of the following revenue-related no-no's: - no toilet brushes. That's just gross. - don't forget your toothpaste or they will charge you £2.50 for a generous THREE millilitres of toothpaste and a 10p toothbrush. Breakfast is good although...

Came here for dinner as we always love to come for drinks in the bar. We saw pictures of the new bar refurb so decided to make a night of it having dinner in the brasserie then moving to the bar after for a bottle of fizz. Service was great, staff were lovely (especially don our server, what a top...

I stayed B&B and breakfast included continental and a large selection of cooked breakfasts included in the price. All the staff I came into contact with were professional friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend...

Never stayed in a Malmaison hotel so was really looking forward to this trip. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Fog on the Tyne? Let's hope not. Otherwise you'll miss the great view of the Tyne Bridge you get from our hotel in Newcastle city centre. But then, when you're staying at Malmaison Newcastle, it's the views on the inside that tell you your boat's come in. While you're right at the heart of Newcastle's great shops and exciting nightlife, the lure of MALBAR's legendary cocktails and the Mal Brasserie's classic dishes with a twist is pretty strong. And who wants to spend all night out on the town when one hotel in Newcastle has a whole floor with a shipbuilding theme and bathtubs you could sink a battleship in? It could only be the Newcastle Mal. ... more   less
