Another visit to the Village Pub in the Village hotel Newcastle. An excellent selection of beers including guest ales along with the huge TV showing live sports make this a perfect place to watch football and rugby. Pub food is a little pricey but special offers, especially Burger Fridays, are excellent value. The ability to book for small celebrations is...

Would recommend. Clean cosy room. Excellent breakfast and friendly helpful staff. Easy parking. Hotel very busy but our room very quiet. Great atmosphere. Were at a wedding in Newcastle and the overnight stay was ideal as we had travelled from Lincolnshire.

Popular hotel we have used before. On this occasion key card computer didn't work properly so waiting 10 minutes for reception to manually intervene. Lifts were out of action and had been for four weeks, even the receptionist was critical of the fact. Not mentioned upon booking. My partner has difficulty with stairs so not a good situation.

Really nice looking hotel. Staff really good. Terrible options of vegetarian food for my wife in the restaurant and the options vhoosen were terrible . Having no extraction system in bathroom was a poor choice for a nice clean room. It made the bathroom impractical after the shower was turned on. That was a let down but the rest of...

Very noisy at night. Clearly geared towards stag and hen parties, weddings and functions. We stayed 2 nights and had terrible sleep on both the the Friday and Saturday. People slamming doors through the night, people running up and down corridors. Children shouting in the corridors. We will never stay here again.

We splurged a little extra for a club room which, curiously, could only be accessed through the restaurant (modern quirky British?). A large room in a quiet end of the hotel with a big, comfortable bed and the biggest hotel telly we've ever seen! Good bathroom with ESPA products. Good coffee machine but no biscuits... Our room (103) did have...
