This is a great place to stay, especially if you are completing part of Hadrian's Wall. The food is fab and the service is excellent. The manager was especially kind and helpful. The accommodation is good, everything you could want.

we had a very nice room with all the facilities we needed for a good nights sleep.. Full English breakfast was excellant. We had a drink or two in the bar before and after we went to our family party. Very good friendly staff.

Spent three very enjoyable nights at the Keelman's Lodge (Mon-Thurs). The Lodge was a 50 yard walk from the Keelman Pub (and micro brewery). Room was simple, but more than adequate and very clean. Only fault being it was too warm, and windows had to be opened overnight. We took breakfast & evening meals on all three nights/mornings, including extended...

Doing the Hadrians Wall walk and stayed here for one night en route to Walls End. Think twice before booking as you're going to be disappointed as it is not 4 star accommodation. The room was cramped and the bed was uncomfortable. Decor and bathroom very dated right down to a shower curtain! On arrival discovered there was no heating...

It was a bit difficult to find, I think that was due to the directions provided by our touring company . . a bit of signage on the path just past the rowing club would be EXCELLENT for walkers . . . but once there, we were treated graciously and the lodging was adequate. The restaurant was excellent and the...

We had a very pleasant one night stay in the Keelman's Lodge. The ale from their own microbrewery was excellent and the restaurant dinner menu was varied, though most of it was also available on the bar menu. Prices were reasonable. The room was very comfortable with adequate sockets for charging gadgets and with tea making facilities. Breakfast however ......

We arrived earlier than 4pm check in time having gotten better pace-wise towards the end of our Hadrians wall walk and could not check in till past 4pm. This was not really much of an issue given we could while away the time drinking their own brewed beer outside area of their pub in the lovely weather. The downsides: We...

This was the end of our first day walking Hadrian's Wall, so it was nice to be met by a cheery face even though we were pretty grubby. The manager led us to a separate building and our clean, comfortable room. It was extremely quiet even with the very crowded pub nearby. We had dinner at the pub/brewery - standard...

We were walking Hadrian's Wall and the Keelman's Lodge is a very convenient place to stay although they could do with a sign pointing out where to go. Our room was a bit basic and the bed was small and not very comfortable. The quilt was incredibly heavy and I think they need some better bedding. Sleep is important when...
