My father, sister and myself stayed here last Saturday night. Our rooms were comfortable, very clean and well appointed. My own room, no 37 ( I think) was in the annexe and happened to be one that is disabled friendly. I have no idea how suitable it was for a disabled person but it was very spacious and the bathroom...

I decided to treat my mam to afternoon tea for Mother's day, and what an amazing time we had. We were seated in the garden room which had fantastic views of the grounds and was a lot quieter than the main room. There was a very good selection of teas and coffees to choose from and the staff were very...

This gorgeous hotel on the edge of the city was the perfect choice my husband made for my birthday celebrations . Staff were attentive and very engaging . Surroundings were beautiful a truly romantic setting for couples. We chose the tasting menu on Saturday night and all was impeccable . Would highly recommend to friends and I hope to return...

Lovely location for a lovely wedding. Beautiful historic building with some modernisation but much of its heritage in tact. Food was excellent as were staff. Drinks prices were as you would expect at such a venue. Located a 10 minute drive from the City Centre.

This is an amazing place overall located near Jesmond Dene park. The rooms are comfy and service is great too. My only suggestion would be to make sure you select the room type carefully and all rooms are not the same. It depends on your taste so ask reception.

We had an ITISON voucher for a nights stay; champagne chilled on arrival in our room, a tasting menu for dinner and breakfast. It was most definitely worth it, we enjoyed every minute of it. We checked in with ease, we stayed in one of the junior suites Room 41 and it was lovely, it was in the New House...

Attentive service with superb ambience , a nice place to eat. Three courses for £26 , all of which very good with a decent choice. Drinks pricey with a bottle of wine at £35 but you know that when you book. On a par with 21. Very happy with value for money.

One of our most memorable getaways and it's down to the food...and of course the luxurious hotel 😉but the food was exceptionally memorable. The next time we are in Newcastle we will definitely visit again. The service from start to finish was sublime. From the aperitif and table service at the lounge bar all the way through to the last...

Lovely building with fair sized rooms, that were nicely decorated. Bathroom had a good range of complimentary products and shower was nice and powerful. Breakfast was nice but over priced at £18. However, staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A grand house with contemporary style, a leafy setting near the heart of the city. Jesmond Dene House is neither a townhouse nor a country house hotel. It's simply 40 well-designed bedrooms and suites in a richly historic building offering understated luxury and rather good food. Overlooking the wooded valley of Jesmond Dene, the privately owned hotel guarantees peace, escapism and a refreshing change. Newcastle's city centre, however, is only a five-minute drive. The hotel recently received 4 red stars and the AA Hotel of the Year 2008-2009. ... more   less
