Don't pick this guest house if you're into smart hotels, but do pick it if you want to stay in an old building and have a home cooked breakfast with locally sourced ingredients. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was excellent.

We only stayed here for 1 night to visit my parents for Father's Day who were staying nearby. We would definitely come back though as it's in a great area and the cottage was really lovely. Very old and quaint, with a real homely feel to it thanks to the friendly hosts and the family photos and trinkets everywhere. A...

Pleasant old style cottage guest house. Owners Peter and Pam very welcoming and helpful and provided really 1st class breakfast. The only downside was the room was not en suite and although we had a private bathroom, it was a walk across the landing where other rooms had their doors. The private bathroom was pointed out in the booking so...

Peter and Pam were very welcoming, and the cottage a real little gem. We stayed in the double room with ensuite shower room, clean and nicely done with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was lovely - vegetarian cooked done perfectly and the smoked salmon on homemade crumpet was a real treat. Bidford was a good place to explore the Cotswolds...

The Harbour guest house is easy to find, just off a main road and has parking out back. Theres a budgens and a BP garage both within walking distance so ideal if you want any snacks or drinks. The building itself is a very old wooden framed cottage, very charming. The place only has 3 rooms, so it has that...

The Harbour's rooms possess old-school country cottage charm, rather than chic modern style, but they're warm, comfortable and cosy. The breakfast was an absolute treat: a splendid Full English with a particularly excellent sausage and toast made from locally baked brown wholemeal bread that was sinfully more-ish (particularly when covered in lashings butter and marmalade). I realised, once I'd returned...

This is a bed and breakfast in Bidford on Avon - which is a lovely village and most people would find it very suitable for touring the Cotswold but we used it to see our new grandchild as our son lived in the village. The owners are so welcoming and nice. We had driven a long way and they offered...

we spent a very restful night at the Harbour, after a trip to the RSC (and as an alternative to staying in Stratford). Lovely old cottage, and very warm welcome from the owners. Top marks for the breakfasts, which were beautifully cooked.

We have just spent a most pleasant four days at The Harbour and are very grateful to have been made so welcome. We had a lovely old room and delicious breakfasts and left feeling most rested and calm. Thank you.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Harbour Guest House is situated in Bidford-on-Avon near to the heart of the Shakespeare country , it is positioned just 6 miles downstream from Stratford-upon-Avon and 4 miles from Alcester and 6 miles from Evesham. Bidford itself shares some historical value as there was an Anglo Saxon settlement here the river bridge dates from the 15th century and the Falcon Inn was built in the 16th century, two centuries later on the Harbour Guest House was built. The Harbour Guest House is an attractive black and white period house which was built as a working farm it now stands in half an acre of well managed gardens. On arrival at The Harbour you can expect a warm and friendly welcome as we are delighted to greet you as our guests. The house offers comfortable accommodation for all who visit, this is essentially due to its welcoming olde world charm, with beamed ceilings, log fires in winter, a paneled dining room and a myriad of beams. Our guests tell us they are reluctant to leave this pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. ... more   less
