We stayed last Saturday night. Sunday breakfast was a big let-down. I mailed the following message to the address I was given by the reception. Sent on Monday - no reply by Wednesday evening. --- Please check your records and you’ll see my wife and I have been repeated visitors at your hotel over many years. We have always looked... More

Stayed here for one night ahead of a meeting in Birmingham. Good location with a couple of pubs nearby which looked to be decent. The hotel itself is Ok but nothing better. The bed is very comfy but there was too much noise both internally with the creaky floorboards when other guests walked past room and externally from traffic and... More

An annual stopover to meet up with old friends. We usually stay at the Holiday Inn but were put off by the high prices they were charging because the hotel was nearly full. Did us a favour really as we managed to get rooms at The Loch Fyne (Milsoms) Hotel. A very comfortable cosy hotel with nice rooms en suite.... More

Overall a ok stay in this hotel temperature in the room was difficult to adjust down to a level I found comfortable but other than that a acceptable room, staff are very courteous and helpful breakfast was great on the Friday but on the Saturday and Sunday there appeared to be no pastries and my eggs were slightly burnt but... We stayed Saturday night and Sunday morning, had dinner and breakfast. It was a lovely stay, made memorable by Patrice (the head waiter) who was a hoot. Our rooms were comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were delicious with a good and interesting choice. Patrice gave good advice and suggestions, and kept us entertained between courses.

A lovely hotel, room was warm, clean and comfortable, staff were courteous, efficient and attentive, we didn’t have an evening meal in the restaurant as there are four excellent pubs close by all of which sell food as well as excellent ale. Breakfast in the hotel was very good with lots of choices from a comprehensive menu as well as... More

Stayed here last week for 2 nights. Single room a reasonable size for one person and was clean and nicely presented. I like a firm mattress so the bed was good but the pillow was a bit too lumpy for me. Never managed to park in the hotel car park but there is free on-street parking, if you can get... More

Stayed here for two nights in October 2016. Reception was very pleasant and straight forward booking in. Rooms are all upstairs, no lift, with corridors and stairs leading off everywhere. Our friends room had a very small door and he had to duck to get into the bedroom (room 3). Very sensitive smoke and heat alarms which are set off... More

Booked this through Hotels.Com and was pleased with the quality and price. This is an old building and no lifts. The staircase up to the first floor is narrow and quirky - that's what you might expect from such a fine old building. Can be a bit dodgy with the slippery carpet, so a good idea to get the staff...
