Majestic and reeks of "cool" in the sense that, despite it grandeur, it is very understated. It has a "bygone" era quality to it which is what I really like. The island is great and just adds to the total experience. This is a one-of-a-kind resort. Not many like this left. You will not be disappointed.

Having read some of the negative reviews, I was dismayed that comments included "awful" and "don't bother". I found the Grand Hotel to be clean, comfortable and warm. I took a hot water bottle on the advice of another reviewer but didn't need it! I Paid £53 for my room, I believe I got what I paid for.

We booked 5 rooms for a family reunion & we stayed in the waverley wing. The furnishings were lush & the bathrooms were spotless, though the decor needed refreshing. The breakfasts were excellent & the chef/manager/waiter couldn't do enough to help us. Although our reception wasn't manned all the time, this did not impact badly on our stay as they...

Very pleasant stay that has many important features: lovely, spacious bedroom; big breakfast area; upon arrival, throughout my stay and departure staff members were very friendly; members of staff have high standards and expectations that they uphold and they have ample free parking! Will be coming again!

Booked a room with a twin/ double option. Noted in the comments section that we required a twin. On arrival the bed was made up as a double. No effort was made to resolve the situation, they told us that twins and doubles where the same! One of us had to sleep on the floor.

When we arrived at 2pm reception wasn't open and no one on site so we had to phone up and stand outside while the reception came back to the hotel. Room was awful, wall paper peeling off the wall, water staining on the roof, damaged plug sockets and dirty carpet. The bed was comfy. The room was badly set out...

I wasn't going to write this review, but seeing the previous one complaining about the breakfast ripoff I will. I thought I'd paid and made a mistake on the clicks but the coincidence is too great. We booked two double rooms for a graduation ceremony at Warwick in July. We booked the rooms for £69 each with 3 breakfasts and...

The Hotel is tired and rooms don't have Hot water due to issues with the boiler! The place is old and avoid it if possible. We were working outside in hot dirty conditions so a hot shower is a must and the price we paid we would expect this. AVOID IF YOU CAN
