My family stayed here for year due to being homeless, the staff do there best in everything way to much to deal with , , the room was ok what we stayed in,if any repairs need doing there was nice n friendly repair men. Wasnt 100%clean in hotel but you get a lot of people staying there just have no respect for hotel. Was Cockroaches in kitchens nothing seemed to work to get rid. It was our home for long time, council just take way to long to help yu. We was in the best hotel for homeless people on hagley road I hear. They do family activities so theres things for kids to do. Buses are near load shops n restaurants.

I stayed here a while back and was fairly happy, the staff were helpful the room was clean and the breakfast the next day was good, we didn't pay the extra to use the swimming pool but both agreed we would come back to try it. We tried to book a few nights ago and was told it was closed (i think for refurbishment) so we ended up staying at the premier inn next door and when we checked out we saw it was open so went to go in and enquire about a booking.. the place just looked a state as we got closer, all clutter and rubbish in the windows really looked awful, it looked like a hostel with people living there long term, i assume its being used to house refugees as there were so many that looked like they had just arrived here. kids were running around in the carpark and inside the reception with taxis pulling up with more families as we approached. heard someone spit out of a window and i saw the look on my partners face and we both just turned around and left as the whole vibe there was just horrible, we didn't even make it inside the reception to enquire as i dread to think what was going on inside.

This hotel is basic and the staff do there best in difficult times. Its was good shen it was contractors and people on days out here but now seems a lot of emergency housing who treet the hotel lkke crap let there kids roam the grounds at all hours and sct like there on a budget holiday talking to staff like crap znd definitely bfing the hotel tone down ten fold. Hopefully back to normality soon and staff will hsve people staying dho actually have respect for where they are staying and are civil to the staff and these people can go bsck to where they crawled out from.

We stayed as it was just one night an we had found a cheap room to stay on our travels. £40 for one night. (Wish we had stayed at premier in) First thing I noticed when entering the hotel was the lift was small (no stairs?atleast we weren’t told an weren’t in an obvious place) lift had seen better days. Our room was well out of the way, more like hostel. When entering the room there was stain on the pillow , brown stains on the towels. Toilet seat was more chipped than anything. The tv was in a place you couldn’t see it from the bed (round the corner) Didn’t attempt breakfast, went premier next door instead. Positives: close to town.

Was alright. The room was bit run down and rough looking, But the TV, and shower worked and the bed was pretty comfy so can’t complain too much for the price. Some couple had a fight in the reception which was entertaining and the staff dealt with it well x

Nothing is at all good about this hotel. The staff are missable, the breakfast costs around £6 and it’s a 13 minutes walk to the Morrisons at Five Ways (I timed this). The hotel is based on the outskirts of Birmingham but it’s too close to the city centre so you can’t buy the £2 daysaver on the West Midland buses from the bus stop outside of the hotel. And I wouldn’t consider it as a hotel, I would call it the Cobden Hostel as it looked nothing like the Premier Inn next door. The doors looked like a bear was ripping it to pieces, the bed sheets had stains all over them and that’s nothing compared to the WiFi. It was broken for the WHOLE of my stay, (I stayed there for 1 week). Yes it costs £55 for 2 nights, which seems like a good deal, but definitely not worth the money. Don’t get snagged.

I wouldn’t advise you to come here the reason was the toilet seat was cracked and the shower didn’t work properly. Also in the night there was banging from the lift as well the walls were a bit grimey. However the pool was ok but it was a bit grotty. I won’t be staying again until the hotel improves. EB age 8

This hotel is in dir need of re decoration although the sheets and towels are clean. I had to order bottles of water as the tap water is cloudy. The receptionist and the waitress in the restaurant were very nice and helpful. The meal we had was not edible and we left most requesting a box to take it away however it was not edible and was left untouched. We had pizza , fish shop, nacho’s and a curry plate. This would be a last resort if all other hotels were full.

The pictures attached explain it all. Wanted a nice night away.. checked out within 10 minutes of checking in. The room doesn't look anything like the pictures on the website. No way were we happy to spend the night! Wouldn't recommend at all!
