The hotel is a mess and needs a clean. The bar and grill in fairness the food is ok but people smoke and the signage states no smoking. I cant understand why they management dont stop them. The food arrives quickly but was cold so may have just warmed up rather than cooked fresh.

I stayed at the metro Inn for 10 nights and can't find anything to complain about at all. The room was very clean as is all public areas in the hotel. The house keepers do a fabulous job keeping the hotel clean and nothing is too much trouble for them. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful and make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The management are also friendly and interact with the guests. The rooms are spacious and have TV and facilities for making tea/ coffee. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean friendly place to stay and at rates that cannot be beaten.

Verified traveller 2 Aug 2021 Good parking facilities , upon arrival at around 3pm i was greeted by by a member of staff who i could only describe as in the wrong job vocation . Who swore at least twice during the time it took me to complete the registration forms. His annoyance was due to having to answer the phone to explain to customers that the hotel was full. On both occasions after ending the phone call he swore and cursed. After completing my registration forms i was told in no uncertain terms that "if i had a problem with my room there would be nothing he could do for me as the hotel was fully booked , HOPEFULLY YOU WON'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS ". When i got to my room i looked around and it looked like someone had used the bath to clean out a number of paint cans and had let the paint dry making the bath look very unhygienic. When i sat on the bed the springs made a popping noise clearly a number were broke, i tried the other side of the bed but i had a similar response . So i doubled the quilt up and tried to sleep on top of the bedding to help improve the comfort of the mattress. Needles to say it was the worst night's sleep I've had for a very long time. And without doubt the worst hotel i have ever stayed in !

The hotel is a former boundary hotel. What I loved was the helpful staff. It is easy to find, good area to head to Birmingham, lots of parking spaces. The rooms are clean. For the price it’s unbeatable.
