The Copthorne is often the base my boyfriend and I choose when we stay in Birmingham for a night out. It is centrally located and you can easily access Broad street for night life, the theatres or the bullring shopping centre. Within walking distance of new street and snow bill station it's ideal for a city break. The hotel is...

Checked into this hotel today and stayed on the 5th floor at the end of the corridor. The hotel doesn't offer free wifi so I payed 5 GBP for 24 hours. Once in the room I tried to connect and my laptop and phone both couldn't find the network. Tried calling down to reception and it rang for about 2...

Frustrating to find and park due to extensive city centre revamp but well worth it when you get there. The reception staff were nothing short of perfect. Nothing was too much trouble and a real credit to the establishment. Cant sadly say the same about breakfast staff who were not at all interested or attentive and we had to ask...

As i write this review there is a picture at the top of my screen of a room (apparently) in this hotel, it's safe to say this was definitely not the room I stayed in. I actually had to ask to get moved from my first room as it smelled so strongly of vomit. Checking in on a Monday this...

Decent value in the centre of Birmingham and rooms well above budget standard. The entrance for cars can be difficult due to the road works and one way system but not a massive issue. The hotel is convenient for both the city centre and Broad Street areas.

The hotel is being knocked down in the future and looks and feels as if the company have given up on it. The worst Copthorne hotel I have stayed in. Feel sorry for staff having to work in a one star when guests expecting four star. Had to leave clothes in case as no cupboards or drawers, "helpful" advice from...

Dated decor but I knew this before booking as it is being knocked down next year due to the upgrade of Birmingham. Room was old and tired. Breakfast was acceptable but very busy. Not enough staff or tables. Check in took ages; same problem not enough staff on reception. The noise from the builders can be a problem and also...

I came here with my boyfriend for on the 7th of September, and left quite disappointed. There was roadworks going on outside the hotel, but we weren't too concerned until we got into our room. Firstly our window was almost impossible to close and could easily trap fingers - would have had to sleep with the window open if I'd...

Good points: Leaving Bad points: Everything, except the friendly bar man - Ben. I felt like i had walked into the set of Fawlty Towers, actually I know that if I ever want to tell my children what the 80's were like then they should spend just one night here. In the £12 car park I was approached by a...
