Elmdon Lodge is a sixteen bedroomed , family run guest house. We are located in Acocks Green - a suburb of great character and charm to the south east of Birmingham city centre. The guest house is to be found in an attractive and leafy cul de sac, tucked well away from noise and traffic, but within a 5 minute walk of the railway station with excellent links to Birmingham city centre and Solihull. Can't rate this place highly enough, we had such a lovely stay here. The owners made us feel so at home. Like family. Nothing was to much trouble. They were amazing. All the furniture, flowers and plants were beautiful and the breakfast was definitely a 10/10. My older son didn't want to leave. We will be back again soon. You must try their breakfast 😉

My two sons and I stayed here for one night in April, 2022. My love affair began on the phone, when Katherine was so open and excited about us coming. One night was not enough! So easy to find and loved how we could park on the road in front of the lodge or in the car park behind the house. I was greeted warmly by their daughter. We were shown into our room without a fuss. Everything was just so well thought out and beautifully presented: Clean, airy, light, and my boys loved the multiple charging points!, great Wifi, and 6 million stars for a cafetière and coffee, super powerful shower, great bathroom lighting, loads of towels, well placed lamps, The hotel is a 3-minute walk to Acock’s Green train station which meant I didn’t have to drive in and pay the clean air zone charge with my diesel estate- such a plus! A couple of stops and you’re at Moor Street or Snow Hill station. The next day, Katherine was so wonderful with my boys – indulgent hot chocolate, bespoke breakfasts of such high quality. Loads of fruit. She even made a sandwich of my younger son’s left over breakfast bits – came in handy on the drive back to Suffolk! And she stayed and chatted, giving me a history of the Lodge and her family. It is so beautifully decorated and lovely antique furniture. Great plaque in the entrance about common sense. I wish I had been able to stay longer and explore more. Can’t wait to return. …

Perfect hosts nothing was too much trouble. Very comfortable room, lovely beds and bedding. Our room had all the facilities we needed. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. Parking good, wifi good. Will definitely return thank you for a lovely stay.

I booked at Elmdon Lodge when visiting Birmingham for a friend's birthday. I got a lovely welcoming email on booking. The hotel was lovely, welcoming, clean and well presented. I could not have asked for more...I was made very welcome by the owners even getting an upgraded room. The room was exceedingly comfortable with everything you could want...even USB sockets, mini fridge and hairdryer. The bed was really comfortable with my favourite white cotton sheets. The shower room was well presented with a good shower and nice smellies, a good number of towels and decent quality toilet roll (a very important detail) Everywhere was spotlessly clean. I did not have time for breakfast unfortunately but the dining room looked lovely with a big fireplace and beautifully set tables. Gated parking was available. All in all I'd give Elmdon Lodge 10/10 and would definitely book to stay there again. A real gem in Acocks Green…

I spent 5 nights at this wonderful home from home whilst working away at the NEC. Myself and the whole team were made to feel welcome (I think we had 5 rooms in total as there were so many of us) and were looked after amazingly well by Katherine and Terry. It honestly felt like being around family. The breakfast was abundant and delicious and the rooms clean and cosy. I will be back and cannot recommend this place enough.
