Located in the heart of the Midlands, the Forest of Arden Hotel & Country Club is set in 10,000 acres of Warwickshire parkland and ancient woodland and is recognised as one of the premier golf destinations in the UK.
This stay was a very pleasant surprise. I guess based on other reviews, my expectations weren’t huge but this looked like a good resting place after a long day at the NEC. As we pulled in through the entrance the first thing that struck us were the stunning flower borders and generally beautiful grounds which can be found throughout. This was followed by an efficient and friendly check in. The restaurant was another pleasant surprise. The evening meal was billed as a carvery (it was a Sunday), of which I’m not normally a massive fan however this turned out to be extremely good. Massive choice of salads, soups, cheeses and desserts, with the main event being well cooked, tasty and probably the nicest and most tender roast beef I’ve had in a very long time. Have to mention the…

Me and my husband came to the forest for our second wedding anniversary. We was welcomed by a lovely receptionist (I can't remember her name sorry) in our room was a beautiful heart made out of rose petals. We went to visit the pool area and go for some lunch and on our return a beautiful anniversary plate of Macarons was waiting for us. We had a lovely relaxed evening meal. Overall we felt so welcome and enjoyed the much needed relax. We will be back next year

We met for a family reunion and for a long weekend. We were really well looked after by Reception staff, restaurant and bar staff. They ensured all our rooms were close and we never any issues seating us for dinner. I use Marriot hotels and this is the best trip I've had for years. Well done to the Management and staff for looking after us all.

Awful stay. The food had a hair in the batter and no one was interested. Beds were hard and one was itchy, I was bitten and had to move beds (luckily I had 2 in my room) part way through the night. I tried to speak to reception on checkout and have since called the hotel to share the feedback but no answer again.

I am still elated after my wonderful weekend at Forest of Arden Country Club. From the moment of arrival the staff were exemplary, making my stay to celebrate my birthday very special. It is the expectation of every guest to receive such attentive service, but sadly it is rare. The staff at Forest of Arden however are a rare and joyous species. There was service with a smile and nothing was too much trouble, everywhere we went. From the moment my partner and I arrived in our room, I was greeted by some lovely personal touches: a towel bale 'birthday cake' with hand written message from housekeeping, then there was a chocolate drizzled note on a tray with complimentary sweets along with a birthday card. There was a little issue with my spa treatment, but this was swiftly…

The hotel staff were excellent. Looked after our golfing group extremely well. The rooms are comfortable and well accommodated. Breakfast had an added bonus of your choice of omelette. Golf courses in very good condition. The only down side was the bar prices £7.50 a pint of Guinness. Gin & tonic (single) £10.00! You can only get served after 23:00 if you put money on a card.

Stay of a one night, two rounds of golf package. At £210 inc dinner B&B, it’s hard to fault the price, even accepting the food was middle of the road and bland, ditto the accommodation m, functional rather the luxurious. Both golf courses good, especially the Arden but both suffer too much noise due the the immediate proximity of the M6. The only real black mark, and as a golfer it’s a big one, was the 6 hour round, yes 6 hours, on the Arden course, which is totally unacceptable and needs for more effective marshalling. Probably won’t go back because of this.

Played golf and stayed for meal First thing really struggled to park large carpark was being used for lift training so we really struggled to find parking. Golf pro shop we registered in snd the shop was fantastic well stocked Went to first tee and was meet by a member of staff who explained everything and allowed us to tee off straight away The course was in great condition even though the green just had their winter prep and it was a pleasure to play very rewarding However the play was very very slow which did spoil the afternoon a little. We then had a meal in the zest bar which we where advised would be best as quite quiet but it was very loud and very full it was difficult to hear one another but the staff where traffic very quick and professional and the food was ok…

A college reunion celebrating 40 years since we qualified. A fab excuse to get together. The venue was ideal for travelers from all across the UK and Australia. Staff were superb, attentive and helpful. The food was excellent. The hotel is dated but I cannot fault the cleanliness and comfort. My only negative, was that the hotel ran out, yes ran out, of most white wine choices by Saturday lunchtime!! I know we may have consumed a few bottles but definitely not a massive amount. The options then were very poor. A random white, and an expensive at £13 for a 250ml glass. So when we come to see you for our 45 year reunion, please make sure there is enough for our weekend!!
