Stayed for one night in late December, the check in was easy and staff friendly! There is no car park but was advised when messaged the hotel to park at the B4 car park which is round the corner and discounted- just mention on check out as they take your number plate and it discounts 55%. The hotel is located about 10-13 mins away from the Bullring shopping centre plus lots of restaurants/ bars. The room was a family room, good size with a sofa bed etc- we did find a baby’s bottle in the room - we didn’t mention to the staff but in hindsight maybe we should have as the cleaner missed something my son found in minutes of being in the room. The shower was weak and not the best but fine for one night. The hotel was quiet and the reception said there wasn’t many guests staying. Breakfast is included and didn’t need to book, a selection of cereals/ toast and some hot food- fine for kids as well. All in all a good stay, we paid a good Price and location is pretty handy.

Stayed here for a few days late November 2021. I think everyone says you know what you get with Holiday Inn Express. However it is worth saying staff on reception and public areas are friendly and approachable. The public areas are clean, warm and welcoming. My room was spotless and provided an excellent nights sleep. Whilst the hotel doesn't have its own car park, guests can use the B4 Car Park around the corner at a 55% subsidised rate. Simply tell the hotel reception when your going to take your car, they enter the reg number in their system and the discount is automatically applied. Yes its busy with traffic in the rush hours in this area but easy enough for access in any direction. All in all a very good stay I will use this hotel again.

We paid £130 for 1 night to stay on a Friday. I had a few niggles about the hotel but overall I would rate it an OK but not for young families, it’s a more a rest your head for a night kinda place. The first member of staff I dealt with upon checking in my was very slow, she was looking at me but not listening to me which was aggravating. We booked weeks ago in advance and I requested a low floor as I’m not good with lifts and a travel cot. She put us on the 7th floor despite receiving an email upon booking saying they would put us on a low floor we ended up on 7 but I couldn’t be bothered to talk to her for a minute longer. When we got to our room there was no travel cot, my husband had to ask twice for it to be assembled. The travel cot came it had no mattress just a sheet which of a course a toddler wasn’t comfortable in so she just had to sleep in bed with us. If you are travelling with babies or toddlers I’d advise you bring your own cot and don’t rely on the hotel. The room itself was clean but something was up with the heating/fan system, it was freezing! We couldn’t work it out, we just slept with layers on. The other staff members we encountered on our short stay however were very nice and polite. The breakfast is absolutely gross. The sausages are undercooked and everything looks re-heated x10. I didn’t trust feeding it to my child so we left early and got breakfast elsewhere. The knives and forks were dirty. The location of the hotel is excellent! The B4 carpark is around the corner and only cost us £12 for 24hrs with the hotels discount and it’s a very easy walk into the centre and Bullring. It also felt a very safe area, there’s a police station around the corner and it’s well lit. We had no trouble staying here.

Room looked ok on arrival but after looking closer I wasn’t so impressed with the damaged lamps, tv that didn’t work with cables hanging out and a few random hairs on the bed. I usually love holiday inns so was surprised by this. It wasn’t a cheap overnight stay either. Ordered Mac & cheese in the restaurant in the evening, but wasn’t told they’d run out of garlic bread and was still charged full price which was odd. It is placed a short walk from some lovely cafes and the bullring which was handy. Just be aware there are around 19/20 floors, I was on the 16th and it took a while to get up and down. We stopped at each floor on the way to breakfast lol.

Moved rooms after the air con didn't work (renderint the room freezing and the curtains were half torn down. The floor I was originally on also reeked of cannabis and had radiators hanging off the wall in the hallway. The second room (I'm sat in it now) does have functional air-con and curtains that work. The TV however doesn't. It really is quite laughable. The staff are friendly, so they deserve the extra star.
