I have sent the hotel a complaint email, but received no response. On arrival I queued for some time to check in. Whilst waiting I noted a lady come to the front of the queue, and she seemed a bit upset. She went on to tell the Receptionist that she had been allocated a room that already had a man occupying it. No real explanation was offered to her and she was allocated a new room. I then checked in and went to my room (343), only to find that it was already occupied. The Man said – they’ve done it again haven’t they. They had reallocated this room three times now. When I went back to Reception I was not offered any real apology or explanation. I voiced my concerns about the security of my room, whether I would also be billed for items he had incurred in his room etc. No explanation or reassurance was offered. So on 2 separate occasions 2 individual ladies have entered a room, already occupied. I then spent the rest of my stay concerned about my safety, the security of my valuables and whether someone would also be allocated to my room.

I had booked two rooms for a family trip. I was with two children aged 10 and 12 After reading some reviews saying the hotel is in a good location we booked it. It's no where near the centre. It's on a main road which is ugly and full of traffic. You can't walk to town. After we checked in, the room was ok - it was clean which was the main thing. We walked down the corridors to our room and the over riding smell of marajuana filled the corridors. Clearly people were smoking it in their rooms. I was livid. I went to reception to ask to be moved to another floor. But I was told the hotel was full. I didn't want to stay there with children, and the receptionist had already taken full payment of the rooms when I checked in. The receptionist didn't seem overly concerned that people were using drugs in her hotel. Just that she'd investigate it!! There was no offer of trying to find us an alternative hotel or room. It was a disgrace. No offer of our money back. I am going to complain to head office. We had a horrible stay.

Generally good. Clean, all the staff were very friendly. Everything worked; I don’t recognise most of the comments here from my stay. The only thing that would be nice is to have hot vegetarian options out and available at the breakfast. Doesn’t have to be meat alternatives, could be halloumi or something. Staff were too busy to ask.

An all round pretty good stay. On the wrong side of the tracks from the Jewellery Quarter but friendly staff and a fairly modern building and decor. The sliding bathroom/closet doors need maintenance however as they are difficult to slide. The standard queen size beds were a little on the small size. The local photography/artwork was fabulous!

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at the Hampton. The room fell well below Hilton standards. The bathroom was flooded as soon as I had showered to prepare for the evening. When I used the sink to shave the same thing happened there so as you can imagine it became very unpleasant. What upset me the most is as I raised my concerns quite frankly the response was extremely poor. I was told to put towels down and that was it. I asked to be moved but that was not honoured and was to told to put a complaint in. Had it not been so late I would of demanded a full refund and gone elsewhere but had an appointment that evening. I asked the concierge to place new towels in my room as I was running late as a result of all this and not even that was carried out. I had to come down and get them myself. Throughout the night I had to go to bathroom and have wet feet to go back to bed. Completely unacceptable! My whole stay was ruined and I hardly slept but then to be woken up by maintenance in the morning. Even that didn’t fix the issue completely but simply marginally improved the flow. Please see images attached. I eagerly await your response to this as my faith in the Hilton has completely plummeted.
