This hotel is in dire need of refurbishment. The rooms are extremely dated and depressing. Our room had little natural sunlight and the lighting was poor. The bathroom was incredibly old and dated with mould and mildew on the shower fan and seals. This is more a reflection of the dated facilities rather than cleaning. One annoyance was that the room could only be cleaned in the morning however as were in the room and getting ready for functions at this time it was not possible. This meant our room was not cleaned for 4 days. We had to request everything manually from reception including toilet paper. This system should be reviewed. On a positive the staff at reception were helpful and friendly. Unfortunately overall value for money was poor and would not consider staying again unless hotel is updated.…
We booked one night here as we were flying in for the funeral of a close family member. My husband called them in the morning to ask if we would be able to have access to the room earlier to allow us to change our clothes and drop our luggage. The manager Beverley called us back within minutes to confirm that we could check in early. When we arrived, we were greeted by Beverley who showed such compassion, we were both so touched by this. We had taken a box of chocolates to thank them, which was such a small thing to express our gratitude. Beverley was extremely grateful and said her team would appreciate them. When we got to our room, there was a card, chocolates and biscuits from Beverley and her team. All of the staff we came into contact with were superb. At such a difficult time in our lives, we can't express how Gheorghe compassion, thoughtfulness and kindness meant to us and we are both so grateful. Incidentally, the room and the complementary breakfast were both superb. Thank you so much for making a dark day a little lighter.…
Questionable cleanliness of room and no assistance from reception regarding this issue. No apology from reception staff with this issue either. Otherwise good. Free car park and comfy bed. Needs more lighting in room.
Rooms were OK however the lighting in the room was dim. The bathroom was not up to the usual standard of a Premier Inn. The shower was constantly changing from hot to cold to the point we decided not to have a shower again in the morning and just head home. The ceiling in the bathroom was flaking. The cost of the room was £122 which I have paid less for 2 nights in a Prem Inn In London in a family room. On the flip side, the staff were very friendly and the parking was free which is not always the case at all Prem Inns.
Very clean. Friendly polite staff. Great location. Food great. Plenty of parking spaces. Overall great place to stay. Very comfortable bed. 24hr reception. Miller & Carter next door. M&S across the Rd
Nice clean hotel good food , great place just to rest . Comfortable bed had great nights sleep . Plenty places to eat at in area need to book in advance . Plenty of places to visit in area. will stop again
I really enjoyed my stay here. By the looks of things this is an older Premier Inn, but it seems to have been really well maintained. The rooms may lack air con and a few USB sockets, but there are so many positives - chief among which is the atmosphere. It's surprisingly quiet and peaceful for its central location, and the staff were all so friendly and helpful (to that level where you actually think "wow, that was really nice of them). Other highlights include a properly powerful shower, and perfectly cooked poached eggs. I've stayed in a few other hotels in Coventry in this price bracket. I'll be coming back here in future. A big thank you to all the staff (I can only remember one name - Natalie - but everyone deserves credit).
Brilliant service and lovely breakfast. Easy friendly check in and a very comfortable bed and room. Lots of free parking and very easy to get around. Bonus that check out is midday. Would fully recommend and will be staying here again in the future!
Stayed here a few times just for work, first time it wasn’t too bad, a part from room looking a bit dated. But this time just ok. Stayed for 4 nights and not once did I see a cleaner for the rooms! Tea/Coffee/Milk never filled up once in rooms or towels changed. Luckily I also brought my own or would’ve had to use same one all week! Had to go out to buy coffee and milk, disappointing stay if I’m honest.
Stayed two nights on business, minor irritation that there was no lift with all my bags but main problem was the broken shower that both mornings could not be switched off. Staff said the controls were worn out. The other issue was that the associated restaurant was a Miller and Carter, nice food but not really suitable for dining solo.
