I loved this hotel, it turned out £50 cheaper than a Premier Inn. The style of the 1950s is incredibly beautiful and the rooms and facilities are very spacious and comfortable with some little luxuries that you don't have in many hotels. There was nothing I liked more than sitting at the public bar drinking a 2 for 1 cocktail. The staff here has gone out of their way for us and have always been happy and polite. The only drawback I had was that there was a bunch of gross Americans disgusting with horrid rude children staying while I was here. In conclusion the staff and the hotel are fantastic and you could not ask for more. Just don’t book when there is a large party of American staying who believe that because they are on vacation that everyone else has to suffer then and there kids. I couldn't recommend this hotel more!

My family and I had afternoon tea at Forme & Chase, which was absolutely fantastic and well worth every penny. The service here was top notch and the dining area quite lovely. Would certainly return here for another dining experience in the near future.

We stayed for one Friday night in July and what a lovely hotel. Very friendly receptionist, rooms very spacious and clean. Lovely bathroom and with a superb rainfall shower. Had cocktails in the bar and had a good atmosphere. We never ate there as we had a booking elsewhere, but everything looked smart and great in the restaurant. Will stay again.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The room (53) was a good size and clean. One of the most comfortable beds I have slept in at a hotel. There was also a communal seating area outside the room which was lovely. This was an areas anyone staying in certain rooms on that floor could access. Check in was easy and reception were friendly and helpful. Went for the B&B rate and breakfast was lovely! It was all buffet and couldn’t fault it. We had a drink in the Generators bar on the roof, and were fortunate enough to have good weather - so was a nice experience.

We stayed for 2 nights and what a lovely find - quirky, because of the newspaper connection and they have incorporated that imaginatively into the hotel , using lots of original features. Rooms extremely comfortable and tastefully decorated The staff were impressive - friendly , well trained and attentive We only had breakfast there which was plentiful and good . Nice bar / lounge which was a relaxing and popular meeting spot. If you are going to Coventry couldn't recommend it more highly - convenient , central location and reasonably priced

A great alternative to the usual identikit hotels. Cool period building retaining many signs of its original purpose. I stayed here alone (work trip) but anyway I loved it! Good food, friendly staff, comfy room. If you do nothing else while here you MUST take a walk to the Catherdral(s). An awesome sight. I recommend!

I was so excited to stay at this hotel as I grew up in Coventry, leaving 15 years ago to move to Berkshire. We were here on Saturday 28th May for The Killers gig. The hotel more than met my expectations, in fact I will go as far to say exceeded! On check in the receptionist was warm, welcoming and friendly answering any questions that I had. Our room was spacious with a large window overlooking the Belgrade and fountain. Loved the attention to detail in our room. From Robertson dab radio, full selection of tea, coffee chocolate and even Nespresso pods! Cold bottled water in the fridge, air conditioning, iron, ironing board, proper hairdryer, toiletries, loads of fluffy towels, I could go on and on 😊 The bed, pillows and duvet were amazing! I slept so well, home from home! After check in we went up to the rooftop bar Generator’s for a cocktail, so much choice! Beautiful area to enjoy the sunshine! Of course I had to try the Lady Godiva, which not disappoint! Breakfast the following day put other hotels to shame! Fresh fruit, yogurts, overnight oats, amazing selection of pastries! The full English selection has mushrooms cooked in butter as they should be! So many hotels I get let down by tinned floating in water! Not at The Telegraph! Good quality bacon and sausage, crispy hash browns and good quality bread for the toast ! Proper Anchor butter and an excellent selection of Jams! I was amazed to find my favourite Lemon Marmalade! Never have I seen that in a hotel before! As I said earlier “attention to detail” I have to also mention the breakfast staff! Attentive welcome and nothing was too much trouble! We had just spent the last three weeks travelling Los Angeles, Hawaii and Las Vegas, we could have done with a weekend at home but as the Concert that we were attending was postponed due to Covid we had to come this weekend. The Telegraph hotel was up there with those amazing hotels that I stayed in! Well done to the hotel and team! Going home refreshed happy ☺️ Keep up the good work Telegraph Hotel outstanding 👏👏👏👏

Loved this hotel! Often stay in Coventry for business and this by the far the best hotel i’ve found. Great location, parking round the corner, close to shops and restaurants. The hotel looks lovely, the rooms are so spacious too! Love the white company toiletries, the roberts radio and all the other details! Beds were supery comfy also. All the staff i met were so friendly. I didnt think the standard of the breakfast food matched how good the hotel was, again the staff running breakfast were great. Will definitely stay again
