Outstanding stay , amazing room , great breakfast , room 16 a must :-) . The castle and grounds are superb with beautiful views of surrounding areas. The town with all the antique shops are great to look around also plenty of lovely pubs and restaurants to visit .

The Swan Hotel is in a perfect spot, close to Arundel Castle, and in the middle of the medieval village. the staff were great and buffet breakfast was really delicious. The room was pretty small but in such an old building it is to be expected.

Dear wifeofbath2015, Thank you very much for your review. I am very glad to hear that you felt the staff were great and the food delicious. As you suspected, some of the rooms are smaller than others and slightly different shapes due to the age of the building, but this does give our 400 year old listed building unique character!...

Very friendly and welcoming staff, room well equipped and beds very comfortable . Had a good meal in the restaurant just off the bar, above average "pub grub". Hotel well placed for visiting Arundel castle, and close to the river.

This hotel in this wonderful village was a great find. Would love to go again someday. I recommend a stay you will not be disappointed. There was fresh milk and hot chocolate in our room as well as tea and coffee. Beautiful towels and bedding, there was even dressing gown and slippers along with nice toiletries.

Difficult to write the headline! The staff were all friendly, but variable in their ability / efficiency. This could be an issue in the kitchen rather than the serving staff. Our food was ordered for our table within about 5 mins of each other (we arrived separately) One dish arrived about 10 minutes before the rest, and the last two...

Dear John R, Thank you for reviewing us. Firstly, I am pleased that you would recommend the food. Secondly, I am sorry to hear if there was a miscommunication resulting in your food not arriving at the same time as your friends'. Without knowing what you ordered I do not know how long the different dishes took, or if they...

The reception is in the bar, so right away, you're in the midst of the local crowd. There's no rush to check in, a warm welcome and friendly service. The rooms were so English Country chic, exactly what I had always pictured. The pub had no roast dinners by the time I dined (must have to get there early, popular...

Really happy with our stay ... very comfortable room. we took our dog with us so were in a dog friendly room... the room did not have a doggy smell at all. Very good service. Long wait to check in as this is done at the bar which was busy.
