Fortunately we arrived at 12 noon and had booked a table, so we managed to park in the car park, but when we came out at about 13.30, there were cars parked all over the village on the verges. It was so busy. The roast was average (but not average price) and we didn't have one of the overpriced deserts....

Hi, Thank you for your review from your recent visit. I was sorry to read your meal and experience was not up to a standard you would consider above average. I would very much like to discuss your overall lunch with me at your convenience. Please contact me on 01243811461 when you can. Kind regards Kristian Brown General Manager

Excellent food served here. And so is the service. Only downside on the service is they have a tall long dark hair girl who serves on the pub area of the food . I've found her rather sharp and very abrupt ask her anything and it appears she's doing you a favour. Her attitude is a downer. It's every time...

Great country pub with roaring log fire. Tasty home made restaurant food, reasonably priced and good service. We both had the fish special which was perfectly cooked. Plenty of parking, booking recommended as it was very busy. Will definitely go again.

Went for Sunday Lunch with the grown up children. Pub is really cosy and was busy with a great atmosphere. We shared the bread, olives and dip which is a huge starter enough for four. Also had a delicious stuffed mushroom. We went for the Sunday roast again delicious and very filling. Coffee and shared puddings all in with a...

Had Sunday dinner here yesterday for 8, a family cerebration and it was perfect. The pub has been decorated really beautifully, really lovely and Christmasy. We had a nice table and they gave us some balloons and the service was great, lots of staff on, as was very busy. The food was delicious. They were very helpful and friendly and...

Lovely lunch today with 3 friends. Top draw 3 courses and we finished the lot. Well worth a visit and was worth the drive for us. We'd had some back luck earlier in the day and were really hungry too..

We chose this pub/ restaurant for a family birthday meal after reading reviews on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. This is an old fashioned country pub with open fires in several rooms. It's popularity was clear from the fact that it was fully booked out with people waiting and because we were a late booking we had a table...

Had an evening meal with my wife and found it fairly average.I had the rib eye steak cooked correctly but it was quite tough. My wife had the venison which was good but the veggies were really over cooked.Cheese cake for dessert was average but the chocolate fondant was very good.On the whole an average meal quite expensive

This pub was a real find tucked in the countryside. We stayed for two nights due to attending a wedding locally. The pub had a great menu and all the food we tried was delicious. The breakfast included was made it order and fresh, although the toast was always cold and overdone, everything else was delicious. The rooms were big,...
