Great food, lovely atmosphere, professional friendly staff who can't do enough for you. Thoroughly recommended. Parking is free, the views to get there are wonderful, and the recently renovated decode complements the venue perfectly. I would suggest that you book.

Went for a buffet meal arranged for a friend's birthday. The staff said they could handle a Coeliac's dietary needs, but I've heard that before. What a change this time! My wife was sought out, and a special one-off selection had been prepared for her. Sometimes in the past this had happened at other restaurants, but the meal had been...

We spotted the pub when driving by and called in for a quick lunch and a drink. There's a good atmosphere and the staff were friendly. We didn't get the chance to sample the main courses, but my panini was freshly made and very tasty. The place was very busy and we were lucky to get a small table on...

Having visited this pub regularly over the past 5 years we have come to expect excellent service and food that matched. However our visit on Friday the 2nd December was the exact reverse of previous experience. The lack of diners on a Friday evening should have been a strong indicator that something was wrong and indeed by the end of...

This is a real example of a cosy country pub. We visited on two separate occasions this week for lunch along with our dog. We were very impressed both times. We were greeted by friendly staff and an open log fire. A good selection of local real ales. The food was wholesome, home cooked and very tasty. The service was...

Another visit for lunch and a few drinks last Friday. very good food and drink. My friend was initially disappointed that there was no Old Peculiar, but the Guest Ale recommended proved a more than adequate substitute. Nice, pleasant ambience and a really good way to spend a Friday afternoon. I must also mention the excellent customer service we received...

Had a lovely meal but were very disapppointed with the room as it was quite small, it had no window (only a very high skylight), furniture is very tired and there was no wardrobe only a basic rail. Room was not good value for money - believe all rooms are same price which does not make sense. Walls are thin...

Ordered the steak and ale pie. This came as sections of a big pie heated up, with pastry 1cm thick and very hard - we could not eat it. The chip fat needed changing as the chips tasted odd. The veg was inedible. At the prices they charge for drinks and food, the standard was awful. No wonder the place...
