It’s been a very cold foggy weekend in Leeds but delighted by the warm friendly greeting from Natasha on reception and very pleased with the quality of room in terms of cleanliness coziness and decor . We’ll done Leeds Marriott
Fabulous stay as this hotel and amazing service from Salim and the reception team. They really looked after us and made our stay great. Lovely bedroom, clean and spacious. Good central location I. The centre of Leeds. Will highly recommend.
Again another amazing stay. Looked after so well by Sharon in the executive lounge and as I had a conference here Meg went above and beyond to help me get set up. Looking forward to my next stay. Also looking forward to the new restaurant opening and they’ve done so well accommodating us whilst this is happening.
Visited this hotel again and was not disappointed. Amazing room which was clean and spacious. Lovey contemporary hotel right in the centre. Emma and Imran on reception were wonderful and made our trip which was a birthday extra special. Will come back again!
Hotel booked last June but a few days before we travel they send email to say no bar restaurant open due to decorating.when we went to check in and brought this up the chap at reception was rude.oh and ni sign of any work being done.big closure notice outside .room clean but looked like they were using up the bits they leave in bathroom.had to request water to be sent to room.like please no bar and no mini bar not even water.breckfast was in part of conference room not comfortable at all.i have stayed in this hotel before but after this visit I won't be going back ever.leeds has lots of hotels that know how to keep standards hight Marriott is not one of them so very disappointed in our stay so next visit a proper hotel
Great staff, clean and pleasant room. Sensible check in time as well. When I was unwell and had a seizure the staff really looked after me and I can't thank them enough. However, I do have 1 complaint. Who the hell offers sticky toffee pudding WITHOUT the option for custard? It's like offering a car for sale with a wheel missing.
Perfect location for arriving via train - Reception team were brilliant and offered to help with our luggage. The room was spacious great night sleep. We had drinks whilst visiting friends the bar was very welcoming with a good selection of wine.
Gold for life member knows his Marriott's.. This is just another one. I dont really remember much of it. Room was good, bathroom nice (big shower). Reception was smooth but no upgrades offered (pah!) by the trainee. Great location, very convenient for a night out in Leeds and was priced really well. It certainly didnt woo me though. You know what you are going to get, and you get it. Certainly nout wrong with it.
TL;DR Exceptionally warm and humid room with no real air conditioning. Staff was kind and willing to help, they eventually moved us to a new room but this one had the same problem (it appears the whole building doesn't have air conditioning). We didn't sleep well at all. I will not recommend staying at this Marriott for this reason alone. Detailed Experience: The top reason in our list to choose to stay at the Marriott Leeds City Centre was the fact that it was listed in the website as including air conditioning. Air conditioning is an essential feature of any hotel we visit, anywhere we go. The least we would expect is a system that does some sort of heating and cooling (real/comfort cooling, and not just a fan blowing air), and humidity control (with extraction of old air) None of these basic features were present in our room. We tried the most to change settings in the wall dial, including setting the temperature to the minimum possible and the fan to the maximum level. The only thing that the vents did was blow room temperature air (not cool air). We would have been ok with this if at least the air humidity was controlled, but all we could feel was humid air and our bodies feeling constantly sweaty and unpleasantly warm. Around 11pm we couldn't take it anymore and opened the windows (outside temperature was 9C or 48F), but the window only opened slightly, and after one hour the room still felt exceptionally hot. We called reception and they sent someone to help. We appreciated the willingness to solve the issue, but unfortunately there is not much you can do when the problem is the lack of air conditioning. We accepted the offer to change to a different room, because the new room was slightly cooler for the time being (this was because the new room didn't have the 'air conditioning' switched on and was cool as it was not occupied yet). In the new room we still had an unpleasant sleep with very humid warm air, but we managed to get through the night. As reference, any other air conditioned Marriott we visited had been great (in terms of room air conditioning specifically). We have central air conditioning at home (UK based) that we set to 20C/68F and have active for 365 days a year. We also set our home air conditioning to heating only during winter days (also at 20C/68F). Our house is always at a pleasant temperature with great humidity control.…
Excellent hotel, ideal spot central located. Staff were 100% helpful, room was spot on very comfy beds. The only thing I would say was we had a twin double room and had to call downstairs for more tea/milk. A room of 3 women we drink a lot of tea. Breakfast was lovely had a lot to choose from. We have booked up to stay next December 2023
